An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.
I had a plan.
Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?
Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.
That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn't buying that either.
Too bad for him, I won't let anyone get in the way of my mission.
Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He's the worst kind of wrong - and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.
Because they took her from me, and I'm going to make them pay.

I would 100% recommend this audio book. The mobster angle had me on the edge of my seat all through the story.
to many to pin point one
no but after this one book i am a big fan... Tracy was amazing with her accents, normally a book like this needs a male narrator but Tracey did an amazing job with an irish accent.
You won't regret this audio book
Wow loved it. so need to read #2 although it wasnt a cliff hanger. great characters loved the differeny storyline and the narration was great.
I live in the outback Australia and so love to listen to a good raunchy kickass story where the female is tall strong and in total control.
Wow what a great story, strong characters, Tracy Marks did a great job with the Narration. A love story filled with gun carrying Irish mobsters & Russian mafia. Also plenty of hot sexual action. A strong female fighting her way to find the truth while slowly losing herself to Crow and all he stands for. Love is strong and it wins in the end.
I really enjoyed this book great story line, and it kept you guessing till the very end. Thought the narrator did a great job even with the Irish accents . Looking forward to the next book in this series.
OK, this novel is obviously aimed at young female readers. The plot is implausible, unconvincing, the sex is laboured to death, and the protagonists lack depth of character. It will appeal to an adolescent audience. The narrator does credit to an otherwise mediocre work.
"Love....Against All Odds. 💕"
This book has so much going for it.....an interesting deep plot, likable characters, bad guys, action, suspense, love, and mystery. It's the kind of book that keeps you on the edge. You never know what to expect. It's a true "escape". The kind of story that you know would never be personally real but you enjoy the diversion. 😀 Loved the ending. 💑
Just my two cents: I truly enjoyed this book but I would have loved to learn a bit more of both Mack's and Lach's past. Some basic information was there....I just would have liked more details. Call me a romantic....but I still enjoy stories that have more romance than sex. I know...I know...you're going to say "this is a Mob story"....yes, I know and I would expect some sex, but when there is so much explicit sex in a book it can take away a lot of the sensual build up....the anticipation. But...dont let what I've said detur you especially if you enjoy a well written story filled with suspense and the rawness of gangsters 😬. Yes. I will definitely be on the lookout for more in this series. 😉
The narration was perfect. Each voice was unique and the accents were quite good. Doesn't get much better. Great job! 🐾
(Note: This book has explicit sex and strong language. Adults only recommended)
This audio book was given to me at no cost in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
I thought this was a great book. I enjoyed a change of pace for romance. I took a chance with something I saw on Facebook and it paid off . Can't wait to read other town books in this series. Also loved the reader. 😀😀
"Dive into the World of Irish and Russian mobsters!"
As a romance novel lover it is almost impossible to not at least have heard of the BOSTON UNDERWORLD series by A. Zavarelli. There are countless raving reviews out there, and I finally got to know what the fuss was all about.
Wow! Lachlan! What a man! The description of the chemistry between him and Mack and the words and actions those two found to express that are unlike anything I have ever read. I can’t even put my finger on it what made it so outstanding for me… but this wording, this writing style definitely left a permanent impression with me.
An interesting plotline and a setting that has not been there countless of times yet: Irish and Russian mafia with the accompanying accents that even show in the writing? Absolutely amazing! Add to that many likeable characters – not only did I wanted to learn more about the two mains, I also cannot wait for more of Ronan, Sasha, Alexei and so many more. It is the kind of story that keeps you glued to the book from the beginning and will leave you hungering for more. I am glad that book two and three are already waiting for me, and I am counting the minutes to dive in.
What made this book even more unique for me personally was that it was the first story I enjoyed with Whispersync. Being able to read along with the narrator – or even switch for a chapter or two to the ebook, because you are not able to listen to it in that moment – is just awesome!
Also, Tracy Marks does an outstanding job with the narration. Not only does every character have his / her own voice, they have perfect accents to match. That Irish accent surely helped me falling even more in love with Lach. You could feel their emotion seeping through their tones as well.
I would have liked more background stories, especially from Mack, which is together with some seriously and obviously poor decisions from Mack, which I had problems tolerating, the only reason I do not give the full 5 stars here.
A warning to sensitive readers: This book truly does not skimp on f-bombs and other curse words and there is plenty of violence. It definitely is a story that is more on the darker side, which is to be expected with a mafia-romance done right.
Now I am looking forward to listening to REAPER and getting lost in the Boston Underworld once again.
"An Edgy, Intense, Gripping Five Star Romance!"
Wow, I loved this story, and have so many great things to say about Crow which was written by A. Zavarelli and narrated by Tracy Marks. This story deserves all Five Stars, and if it was possible to give more stars, I would.
~ Crow has an edgy and intense plot told from both Mac and Lachlan's POV's. The story moves at a great pace, and has all kinds of twists. Mac goes in "unofficially" uncover to get information about her missing friend where she meets one of the leaders Crow Lachlan; however, she soon learns once you enter the mafia, you do not leave unless you go out in a body bag or if they will allow it.
~ The attractions between Lachlan and Mac was immediate, raw, intense, and they were drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Regardless of the secretes or mistrust between them, the sex scenes were primal, raw, and full of need. Lachlan dominated while Mac wanted to please.
~ I could feel my anxiety building waiting for the moment when Lachlan learns of Mac's betray, and really wanted to take few breaks throughout the story from all the intensity but was helpless and had to keep listening.
~ There is great character development throughout the story, and you got to know some of the characters and what they have been through.
~ The narrations by Tracy Marks is remarkable, and you could tell she put a lot of effort into narrating this story. I loved the accents and how each character had their own voice. She did a great job of projecting the different emotions throughout the story.
I've never been big fan of contemporary romances; however, this story was amazing, really held my attention, and could just possibly sway to the contemporary side. I highly recommend this story to fan of contemporary stories and likes them slightly on the darker side or with a mafia themes. Well worth my time! :-).

"A great erotic romance with a gorgeous hero"
The narration was fantastic. The narrator nails the Bostonian and Irish accents perfectly which made it a pleasure to listen to.
The actual premise of the story was really interesting and different. I don't know how factually accurate the picture of the Boston underworld was, but it was pretty convincing. I did find the main character, Mac, grated on my nerves a little as she made some really stupid decisions which seemed pretty obvious, but it was important for the trajectory of the story.
I think the ending was particularly good, when Lachlan was faced with the decision about whether he should kill Mac or not.
There is a lot of sex in this story - it is undoubtedly an erotic romance. I wondered at times whether there was a bit much (was it even physically possible?) as sex seemed to be the default go-to in pretty much every situation. But it was still a great book to listen to.
"I loved this story!!!"
I would absolutely recommend this to a friend because it was awesome to listen to and it was just a great overall story.
I loved it all. There wasn't any one part that was better than the rest.
This is my first Tracy Mark's performance and my first ever K.C. Falls story too.
I couldn't pick a better name than what it already has.
This story is completely awesome. There are so many great things to say about it. Tracy Marks did an amazing job narrating with the different accents and A. Zavarelli wrote an intense story. I couldn't help but be dragged into the whirlwind of this story just as Mac was dragged into the Mafia. So much of this story was truly amazing that it made it hard to stop listening when I had to deal with the real world. I can't wait to get started on the next book in the eries and see what else they have in store for me.
"Great story and narration"
Wow! I completely and totally LOVED this book! Great storyline, action, characters, and pace. A solid 5 star read.
Audible narration was great.
"I'm addicted to this series!"
I read Ghost first based on a recommendation. Then I had to go back and start at the beginning. I am completely blown away by A.Zavarelli's writing, her characters. The men are strong in body and mind, live dangerous lifestyles, yes are willing and able to succumb to the love of a good woman. The women are fighters, scrappy and strong of will, yet in need of love, whether they want to or not. The stories are full of angst, battles of wills and spirits clashing, and at the same time souls aligning in love and inner peace while their lives are dark inside the Irish and Russian mafia worlds.
Crow is so easy to love. Mac is a mouthy, loyal friend and lover.
This series has grabbed ahold of me and I'm addicted.
"A MUST HAVE"
This is the 2nd book I read in this series and I LOVE them both I started with the 3rd… the narrator once again did an amazing job.. the book has so many ups and downs and twists and turns its impossible to get bored every part has so much detail.. I clung to every word and finished this book in 2 days… I can’t wait to read the 3rd… I highly recommend!!
I received this book for an unbiased review….
I enjoyed all three books in this series. I read them out of order, which was no big deal. They overlap a bit, so in places it was fun knowing more about what was *also* going on in a scene.
Flow, narration, story, characters--all very good.
I love a good series with no cliffhangers!
This audio book was provided by the author, publisher, or narrator at no cost.
When I started this book I had a hard job getting into it I got close to tossing it, but stayed with it and was really pleased that I did good unexpected story , with lots of twists and turns will look forward to future books in series. Whilst the narrator did a super job my personal point of view would be to have a female and male narrator as Lachlan is a very strong role
