An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.
I had a plan.
Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?
Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.
That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn't buying that either.
Too bad for him, I won't let anyone get in the way of my mission.
Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He's the worst kind of wrong - and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.
Because they took her from me, and I'm going to make them pay.

I would 100% recommend this audio book. The mobster angle had me on the edge of my seat all through the story.
to many to pin point one
no but after this one book i am a big fan... Tracy was amazing with her accents, normally a book like this needs a male narrator but Tracey did an amazing job with an irish accent.
You won't regret this audio book
Wow loved it. so need to read #2 although it wasnt a cliff hanger. great characters loved the differeny storyline and the narration was great.
I live in the outback Australia and so love to listen to a good raunchy kickass story where the female is tall strong and in total control.
Wow what a great story, strong characters, Tracy Marks did a great job with the Narration. A love story filled with gun carrying Irish mobsters & Russian mafia. Also plenty of hot sexual action. A strong female fighting her way to find the truth while slowly losing herself to Crow and all he stands for. Love is strong and it wins in the end.
I really enjoyed this book great story line, and it kept you guessing till the very end. Thought the narrator did a great job even with the Irish accents . Looking forward to the next book in this series.
OK, this novel is obviously aimed at young female readers. The plot is implausible, unconvincing, the sex is laboured to death, and the protagonists lack depth of character. It will appeal to an adolescent audience. The narrator does credit to an otherwise mediocre work.
"Love....Against All Odds. 💕"
This book has so much going for it.....an interesting deep plot, likable characters, bad guys, action, suspense, love, and mystery. It's the kind of book that keeps you on the edge. You never know what to expect. It's a true "escape". The kind of story that you know would never be personally real but you enjoy the diversion. 😀 Loved the ending. 💑
Just my two cents: I truly enjoyed this book but I would have loved to learn a bit more of both Mack's and Lach's past. Some basic information was there....I just would have liked more details. Call me a romantic....but I still enjoy stories that have more romance than sex. I know...I know...you're going to say "this is a Mob story"....yes, I know and I would expect some sex, but when there is so much explicit sex in a book it can take away a lot of the sensual build up....the anticipation. But...dont let what I've said detur you especially if you enjoy a well written story filled with suspense and the rawness of gangsters 😬. Yes. I will definitely be on the lookout for more in this series. 😉
The narration was perfect. Each voice was unique and the accents were quite good. Doesn't get much better. Great job! 🐾
(Note: This book has explicit sex and strong language. Adults only recommended)

"An Edgy, Intense, Gripping Five Star Romance!"
Wow, I loved this story, and have so many great things to say about Crow which was written by A. Zavarelli and narrated by Tracy Marks. This story deserves all Five Stars, and if it was possible to give more stars, I would.
~ Crow has an edgy and intense plot told from both Mac and Lachlan's POV's. The story moves at a great pace, and has all kinds of twists. Mac goes in "unofficially" uncover to get information about her missing friend where she meets one of the leaders Crow Lachlan; however, she soon learns once you enter the mafia, you do not leave unless you go out in a body bag or if they will allow it.
~ The attractions between Lachlan and Mac was immediate, raw, intense, and they were drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Regardless of the secretes or mistrust between them, the sex scenes were primal, raw, and full of need. Lachlan dominated while Mac wanted to please.
~ I could feel my anxiety building waiting for the moment when Lachlan learns of Mac's betray, and really wanted to take few breaks throughout the story from all the intensity but was helpless and had to keep listening.
~ There is great character development throughout the story, and you got to know some of the characters and what they have been through.
~ The narrations by Tracy Marks is remarkable, and you could tell she put a lot of effort into narrating this story. I loved the accents and how each character had their own voice. She did a great job of projecting the different emotions throughout the story.
I've never been big fan of contemporary romances; however, this story was amazing, really held my attention, and could just possibly sway to the contemporary side. I highly recommend this story to fan of contemporary stories and likes them slightly on the darker side or with a mafia themes. Well worth my time! :-).

"Great Book, AWESOME Narration!"
This book was hard to rate because I loved so much of it but In between that I found it dragged a little too. It wasn't a lot but there were a few parts in the beginning that I wondered if it was going to pick up and go anywhere. There we also a few "out there" things that I just couldn't find believable. In the end I decided I enjoyed all the other stuff so much more than I disliked those few little things. This book has it all from danger to love and a super hot sexy couple with secrets! The narrator Tracy Marks was great, I love her voice and enjoyed her accents in this book.
Surprised Me How Much I Liked the Book. Zavarelli did a good job creating a feeling of "grittiness" without being truly ugly or horrific. I read for a time out from the day to day realities of life and to experience other worlds and viewpoints. Zavarelli delivered. Tracy Marks does a good job creating that world and the characters that inhabit it.
Gritty. Sexy. Fulfilling.
I'm relatively new to mafia reads, so I'm not sure what it compares to.
Any of the men. Hell, any of the women. The narration was phenomenal.
Crow. He's sexy, dominant and rough. Just the way I like 'em.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The narration was profound. The accents absolute perfection.
I was in love and quickly one-clicked the rest of the series.
"Fun and super sexy."
A good read for anyone who loves bad-boy romances. The plot is a little thin in a couple spots, but the characters are well developed and the pacing is good.
This book is one of the best mafia book I have read in a long time. The character and story development is perfect. You really get to know and and understand the characters and why they are the way they are. There were several twists and turns along the way .... none of which I saw coming even though I knew they were on the horizon.
If you love a good mafia romance this will not disappoint!! I literally sat in my car so many times longer than I needed to because i had to know what happened next.
"Engagingly gritty romantic suspense"
Let me start by saying that I had no idea what to expect when I started this book. It's not the usual type of book that I read but it was fabulous! It's a gritty new adult romantic suspense about Irish mobsters!!! The pace was fast, the characters had a certain amount of depth to them, there was lots of action and the sex scenes were hot. Crow is this dark dangerous Irish mobster that basically oozes sex and Mac is this Southie wannabe tough girl who's gotten in over her head trying to look for her missing friend. Their story sucks you in from the start.
The only problem I had was that I would have liked for the whole search for what happened to Talia to have moved along a bit faster and smoother. Basically Mac made no headway and then all of a sudden had her answer. It was like that was the pretense for the book but ended up not being what the book was really about. Honestly, I didn't really end up caring because the chemistry between Mac and Crow was great and I was so into their story instead.
What made this book really amazing was the narrator Tracy Marks! She had the accents down so spectacularly. She also flipped from one character to another so smoothly. It made listening to this book seem like it was a full cast production even though there was just one person doing all the voices. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series. I hope to find some more books that she has narrated too.
I would like to thank the author/narrator/publisher for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
"Couldn't put it down"
I loved this story. The pace was fantastic and I was really drawn in by the characters. The narration was fantastic too!
"I loved this story!!!"
I would absolutely recommend this to a friend because it was awesome to listen to and it was just a great overall story.
I loved it all. There wasn't any one part that was better than the rest.
This is my first Tracy Mark's performance and my first ever K.C. Falls story too.
I couldn't pick a better name than what it already has.
This story is completely awesome. There are so many great things to say about it. Tracy Marks did an amazing job narrating with the different accents and A. Zavarelli wrote an intense story. I couldn't help but be dragged into the whirlwind of this story just as Mac was dragged into the Mafia. So much of this story was truly amazing that it made it hard to stop listening when I had to deal with the real world. I can't wait to get started on the next book in the eries and see what else they have in store for me.
When I started this book I had a hard job getting into it I got close to tossing it, but stayed with it and was really pleased that I did good unexpected story , with lots of twists and turns will look forward to future books in series. Whilst the narrator did a super job my personal point of view would be to have a female and male narrator as Lachlan is a very strong role
