At what point does criminal activity threaten national security? When can a nation respond to it as to an enemy? These are the questions Jack Ryan must consider when he hears the awful news: Colombian drug lords, tired of being harassed by US law enforcement agents, have assassinated three high American officials, and that is just the beginning. The message is clear: Leave us alone. But they have pushed too far. Someone steps quietly over the line they have drawn, deploying covert-action teams in Colombia, intending to take the fight to the enemy. But does anyone know who the real enemy is? And how much action is too much? Who is doing what? Which line has been crossed? Ryan and his "dark side" counterpart, a shadowy field officer known only as Mr. Clark, must find out. They expect danger from without - but the danger from within may be the greatest of all.

"Drug Cartels and terrorists. Explosive Action!"
The many twist and turns in the story and Jack Ryan unravelling all the deception.
There is no other book of a similar type that could even compare.
The Drug Cartels, the former Cuban spy and Cutter getting their comeuppance. Also the rescue of Domingo Chavez and his first meeting with John Clark.
Yes although it is too long to do that.
could not put the book down ( or turn my phone off as the case may be)
john Clarke.... nearly james bond
like most of Michael prichards narration .. he has emotion in the reading
"As good as the film"
Not bad but slow for the first 3 ahours but picked up after just like the movie that's all I can say
a great story in the Clancy style, detailed and absorbing. pronunciation a bit dodgy .in places. but that's Americanisms. Recommended.
"Average Clancy good narration"
Yes its a harmless way to kill time on a boring journey
He's a very good narrater and this is a high standard performance
Its already been done
was a tad slow, fairly political. was nothing on rainbow 6 but had some of the key characters in.
"A Rare Treat!"
Well narrated and dramatised. Full of insightful depths, into how intelligence is handled and measured, within the world of America.
