Enjoyable
Enjoyed this story. However, this day and age the police would have worked it out. Still loved the story and reader.

One of Agatha’s clever mysteries
I thoroughly enjoyed this Audible adaptation largely because it is beautifully narrated by Hugh Fraser. It is a very clever mystery with a satisfying ending.

Tense and so fun
One of Christie’s best, performed well. High paced, intriguing at every turn with a sufficiently satisfying payoff.

Let down by a poor solve
The strong story is very well written and the narrator’s voice gives flesh to the array of very different characters. But the solve relies on recasting facts in an unrealistic way. Pity really, but it’s a bit like Picnic At Hanging Rock - great buildup but fails to stick the landing.

A darkly delicious mystery
What a gem! I absolutely loved this novel, it has all the features of an enthralling whodunnit. The characters are shady, dark and dangerous. Everyone’s a suspect, all harbour guilt and remorse. However, we are kept guessing till the very end. I love Hugh Fraser’s narration, wit and guile. Papa Poirot is absent from this book, but nonetheless it was perfect.

A bit of a slog
My memory of this book is quite different to my experience of it this time. The first half is quite a slog, with no real protagonist to align with. For me, the beauty of Agatha Christie's writing is her sharply drawn but affectionately written characters and her reflections on the human condition. I felt this was lost in the jumble of characters ..this was a plot driven story rather than a character rich one. Hugh Fraser was, as always, wonderful.

Truly magnificent
It’s easy when you know how it’s done! The convoluted and absurd is frighteningly possible in this novel. We are drawn into the characters’ stories and motivations, out suspense and anxiety steadily growing as theirs does.
