What does Kyra look like?

The writing and story is great! I felt it was just getting good at the end, I’m going to immediately read the next book; Messenger!

My only gripe with the writing is Kyra, the main character, seems to only have two character traits. She can sow, and has a lame leg. At times it felt annoying to have it explained over and over that she couldn’t run because of her leg, or couldn’t do this or that for the same reason. It felt over-explained and like I needed to be told why she couldn’t do this or that because I’d suddenly forget that she’s lame. The book wouldn’t let me forget that. I don’t even know what color her hair, skin, or eyes are. There’s a time where she trades her hair tie to a tyke, and that would have been the perfect opportunity to explain her looks, but all I know is that her hair is long enough to be tied up. Love the book, didn’t need the explanations.
