Before Alexandria Marzano-Lesnevich begins a summer job at a law firm in Louisiana, working on the retrial defence of death-row convicted murderer and child molester Ricky Langley, she thinks her position is clear. The child of two lawyers, she is staunchly anti-death penalty. Simply Stunning
A very highly recommended audiobook. What this book has to say about the law, family, abuse and memories is incredible. Heartbreaking and extraordinary.

Stunning, heart wrenching, beautiful

Outstanding!
Although the themes explored in this book are often dark, confronting, and tragic, it is written so beautifully that I didn’t find it heavy going at all. The combination of profound compassion, and uncompromising clarity of thought, make this book one that I highly recommend, if you like to be challenged, as I do, to see the bigger picture, even when it’s uncomfortable to do so.

Great listen!
Really enjoyed this book. There is something special listening to the author tell the story.

so boring. Sooo boring!
about 20 minutes worth of content blown up into God knows how many hours. There's just no substance here.
