Available as an audiobook for the first time, read by band members "Fat Mike" Burkett, Eric Melvin, Erik "Smelly" Sandin, and Aaron "El Hefe" Abeyta along with special guest narrator musician and comedian Tommy Chong. In addition, the audiobook features exclusive, previously unreleased tracks, "Bouncy" (a NOFX instrumental), "La Pieta" (Fat Mike piano & vocal song about his mother), and "Young Drunk & Stupid" (live NOFX song from an Idaho basement gig in 1986)
NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories is the first tell-all autobiography from one of the world's most influential and controversial punk bands. Fans and non-fans alike will be shocked by the stories of murder, suicide, addiction, counterfeiting, riots, bondage, terminal illness, the Yakuza, and drinking pee. Told from the perspective of each of the band's members, this audiobook looks back at more than 30 years of comedy, tragedy, and completely inexplicable success.

I have never been a huge nofx fan, but this book is great for anyone who loves the gritty, messed up, and drug and booze fuelled hijinks. It even made me cry a couple times. Amazing
a refreshingly honest reflection of the bands history and their personal battles with drugs family and fetishes.
great read for those who are interested in the 90s American punk era.
Its brutal, uncensored honesty peppered with dark humor. The audio book is narrated by the band members themselves, past and present, as well as featuring a plethora of famous cameo's from people involved along the way. You can get much more intense than hearing NOFX's first hand accounts of drugs, death, gangs, sex, murder, road trips, disasters and more straight from the horses mouth!
Endless back story of each individual's personal struggles. Too many, too dark and too rediculous to mention
Only their live albums would be any kind of comparison and this is a tell-all book
Go for the Audio book, its read out by the band members and people involved in their stories which adds another level of intensity you wont get reading it out yourself. NOFX aren't even close to my favorite band but if you are a fan or at least know what these guys are like on stage, then maybe you are thinking this will be a good funny chaotic read.... you will not be disappointed. One serious warning: I guarantee, after listening to this you will not be able to look at or listen to these guys in the same way again!
I've loved NOFX ever since I was 12 and listening to all their amazing stories, particularly read by them, was so funny and so cool :) so honest and heartfelt. highly recommend!
bloody amazing what they went through survive and came out on top on . I will be listing to this again great book. love these drugged fecked sickos
"This book is down for the cause homes!!"
Absolutely loved it!! It's like Eric Melvin touched my souls, Smelly Almost brought me to tears, El Jefe made think about my own Mexican family growing up and fat Mike mad me laugh and think about my own vices. Jello and Tommy were great and sincere in there readings. I Fucking love this book and it makes me appreciate NOFX even more. Thank you for both guys, you all did great reading your parts!!
beautiful book. I never did understand that there were people, much less famous people I looked up to who felt similar to me.
"Loved these stories"
Since the band (and a couple of friends) read the their own book, it was really engaging when they would tell the stories of the small happenings a events, that lead to NOFX as we know them. Being a fan of the band, this was a treat for me. But, if anything, the tales are fun, scary and put things into perspective with early punk culture. The guys putting out this book had to take courage and some long lost emotional stress. Several parts of this book I feel will stick with me for some time. Just because a few topics hit pretty close to home. A great book for anyone. ...maybe anyone.
"Moron brothers! ha ha ha ha ha good book. I think."
Moron brothers! ha ha ha ha ha good book. I think. check it out. you most likely wont regret it. lots of chapters and good stories. some of the stories you can not un hear. do not say I did not warn you hahaha no really its good. if you like that kind of stuff.
"Liked it up to family death and butt plugs."
Lost me at butt plugs. Like I can hang for a bit, but it felt like the last 10% of the book was less about NOFX, and more about Mike's sexual lifestyle. Great book up until that point.
Deep, sad, funny, inspirational, scary, educational, insightful, disgusting, and one of the most addictive books I've listened to yet. If you are a fan of NOFX it is deeply satisfying to hear where they came from and what they've been through. Extremely well written and well spoken. Thanks for sharing guys! Love you! Glad you are all still alive and doing well.
"great until the end"
I'm not a fan of their music but the stories are great. loved smelly and Mike but had to skip every hefty(spelling?) chapter. his voice was too obnoxious for me. overall great book. great stories. got weird and a little boring at the end with all the S&M and love crap.
Everything I hoped it would be and more!!! Best book on tape ever! Get this!
got this book after a Stanhope recommendation and was not let down!! this was my second go around. good stuff!
fucking awesome punx not dead. I wish that there was more books like this I would be a fucking librarian
Having been a huge fan of NOFX for many years, I was extremely excited to hear they were releasing an autobiographical style book.
It does not disappoint. it's so BRUTALLY honest and real, an unflinching account to all the ups and downs of this group of misfits. Listened to it in its entirety in 2 days and I am going for round 2!
Will shock you, move you and make you laugh. Highly recommended wether you're a fan or not!
"no holds barred look at some crazy s##t"
fantastic book which doesnt hold back. overall though they all seem like very 'nice guys'
"You don't have to know the band to love this book."
Incredible stories, brilliantly told. Funny, moving and sickening in turns but non-stop entertaining.
"You want the truth, you can't handle the truth..."
Very Funny, dark, gripping, sad, extreme but brutally and relentlessly honest.
Challenging people's perceptions? That's so punk.
A great listen
"Get this audiobook"
Everyone. Get it. It is definitely worth it so stop reading reviews and just get it.
"Fascinating Story - Brilliantly narated"
Infinitely - having it read by the guys involved with each member reading their own chapters makes it all the more engaging.
The narration style is very similar to the Doug Stanhope Book digging up mother In that the people actually involved in the stories are telling them.
There's many hilarious moments, too many to name.
The chapter after you first here the story of the scumbag friend and what happened to one of the band members girlfriends at his hands. Getting the two versions of the stories, two people's truths with only one of them being the truth, the way the book does this is brilliant.
Highly recommended for anyone interested in music and road stories, being fans of the band or even punk music is not necessary.
Fantastic story, excellent delivery! One of the best music related books I have ever read!
"fantastic and hard hitting"
Brilliant book. made me look at my own life. Funny as hell also. Worth every penny. The lads can party
"Everything I hoped it would be"
Honest. Deep. Disturbing. It goes a long way in explaining my favorite punk band. Aye.
"Rollercoaster of an audiobook!"
I thought I was going to get done silly stories and gross out stories. You get that but so much more. Fantastic well read book.
