A New York Times best seller!
By the actress, writer, and one of the funniest women on Twitter, an outrageous, hysterical memoir of acting on impulse, plotting elaborate hoaxes, and refusing to acknowledge boundaries in any form.
Jenny Mollen is an actress and writer living in Los Angeles. She is also a wife, married to a famous guy (which is annoying only because he gets free shit and she doesn't). She doesn't want much from life. Just to be loved - by everybody: her parents, her dogs, her ex-boyfriends, her ex-boyfriends' dogs, her husband, her husband's ex-girlfriends, her husband's ex-girlfriend's new boyfriends, etc. Some people might call that impulse crazy, but isn't "crazy" really just a word boring people use to describe fun people? (And Jenny is really, really fun, you guys!)
In this program, you'll find stories of Jenny at her most genuine, whether it's stalking her therapist (because he knows everything about her so shouldn't she get to know everything about him?); throwing a bachelorette party so bad that one of the guests is suspected dead; or answering the eternal question: Would your best friend blow your husband on a car ride to dinner if she didn't know you were hiding in the backseat?
I Like You Just the Way I Am is about not doing the right thing - about indulging your inner crazy person. It is Jenny when she's not trying to impress anyone or come across as a responsible, level-headed member of society. With any luck it will make you better acquainted with who you really are and what you really want. Which, let's be honest, is most likely someone else's email password.

"Looking forward to the second book."
Overall, not bad for a first effort. It's really just a collection of her blog work in stories for Playboy. I honestly think her second book will be a better effort as long as she doesn't pull together a bunch stories and make them a collection. Look was a little too "short essay" for me.
"Just plain good times ..."
I think we are the same person. Good laughs while walking!! Her humor and wit kept me engaged.
"Hmm...Why am I listening to a bio of Jenny Mollen?"
I applaud Jenny for being willing to put her warts out there for all to see - and there are a lot - but are we really that interested? This is the story of an actress who never makes it, then realizes her true talent may lie in writing. Her greatest claim to fame seems to be marrying American Pie actor Jason Biggs. While Jenny's writing is amusing, it is extremely crude. This usually doesn't bother me, but much of it seems gratuitous. Not a bad book; just left me wondering why her life merits a biography, at least at this point.
"Perhaps Funnier In Written Form"
Mrs. Mollen's performance was quite nice. She clearly is a very talented individual. The beginning has a number of amusing anecdotes, however, they become more sparse as the the book wears on. Additionally, the content is rather unoriginal even if they are actual events from her life. It's not like neurotic rich girl hasn't been done and that is the theme of most of the essays.
Consider Let's Pretend This Never Happened or Ellen DeGeneres's audio book-much better.
I've read other books by Tina Fey, Amy Polher, Mindy Kaling, and Rachel Dratch, however this one does not measure up. Stopped listening less than half way through. Not interesting, or funny.
"Setting a bad example for pretty much everyone"
Exactly the woman you don't want your daughter to end up like. Not even funny.
"Funny and entertaining."
Love the stories and the fact that Jenny did the audio so you got the true feeling of the stories. It was awesome to her Jason's side of the stories that came unexpectedly. A definite read. Looking forward to Jenny's second book.
"Totally wanna be Jenny's friend!!"
Awesome story teller and very funny! Had lots of out loud laughter and enjoy listening to her voice.
"Was skeptical at first but then was pleasantly surprised."
Initially I thought she was trying to copy Chelsea Handler. I stopped listening after a few chapters. Then I picked it up a few days later and could not stop laughing. Sometimes her narration bugged me but having Jason in there was perfect. Some of her stories are just down right hysterical. Exaggerated or not....
"Such a treat!"
Really enjoyed this book. Jenny had me in stitches from beginning to end. Cannot wait for the tv series.
