Story
In his 17 years as a Formula 1 driver, Jenson Button has picked up a thing or two about how to do the job properly. Sure, you need to be able to drive a car fast - and Jenson is on hand to pass on a few tricks of the trade here - but you also need to know the real rules for making it to the top. Like, how to tell a multiple F1 champion they need to check their blind spot. What the difference is between a helmet and a hat, and indeed a 'helmet-hat'. How to practise your champagne spray ahead of the big day.

Story
This is the definitive account of the career of the winningest Supercar driver of all time, Jamie Whincup - most championships, most race wins, most pole positions, most podiums. But it's also the story of the making of a champion - the drive, the beliefs, the grind and the teamwork that it takes to get to the top, on the track and off. With such success, it's easy to understand why Jamie has always had a target painted squarely on his rear spoiler. And it all started back in 1991, when his father purchased Jamie his first-ever go-kart.

Story
Two-time championship-winning and record-breaking racing driver Jason Plato is a living, breathing example of what you shouldn't do if you want to become a professional racing driver. Since joining the Williams Touring Car team in 1997 it's no coincidence that he has had more race wins than Lewis Hamilton and Stirling Moss, competed in more races than Jenson Button and set the largest number of fastest laps ever. But it's also no coincidence that he once spent several days in prison in Monaco for stealing a JCB.

Publisher's Summary
In the high-stakes world of Formula One, only the fastest make it to the top. Few know this better than Australian Formula One legend Mark Webber. His career in F1 stretched an incredible 12 years, saw him earn 42 podium finishes and triumph in nine races, including twice-winning the crown jewel of F1, the Monaco Grand Prix.
But the road to the top of F1 racing is long and full of deadly twists and strange turns. In his long-awaited Autobiography, Webber tells the incredible true story of the small town pizza delivery boy who climbed the apex of the world's most dangerous sport. With startling candour, Webber takes us on a thrill ride through the highs and lows of his amazing career, detailing the personal struggles that drove him, revealing the truth at last behind his rivalry with Red Bull Racing teammate Sebastian Vettel, and allowing us access-all-areas into a very private life played out on the public stage.
Filled with anecdotes about the great drivers, epic races and characters of Formula One, Mark Webber Aussie Grit is a fascinating account of a life in the cockpit of an F1 rocket and the inspiring, no-punches-pulled story of a great, gritty Australian.

Always rated Mark Webber as an Aussie icon and someone to look up to as symbol of hard work and determination. This book took me back to all those late nights in Melbourne watching the European races being so incredibly nervous that he get off the line well....
Side note - Always thought Marko looked like a complete d!ck, so glad that was cleared up

Should Be Called Uphill Grind
I knew Marks journey wasn't easy. I had no idea his best years & results at RBR were the time he received the least help (except financially). I knew Marco was hard work. I knew RBR had Vettle as their No 1 driver. I had no idea that Mark's time there was a mental rollacoaster. I wish he had won the title in 2010 & moved to Ferrari in 2012.

a true Aussie story - a great read for anyone.
Loved it. At multiple points I thought the narrator was mark himself.
A great story from humble beginnings to the top of the sport. What I loved about it was Mark remaining super authentic to himself especially facing the adversity within the f1 circus and generally the motorsport arena. It's a tough sport and it's not for everyone.
It's great to hear a true blue Aussie story. This book will resonate with many Australians digesting this book as our culture and upbringing was articulated so well in this story. A true champion of the sport and a great representative. it would have been interesting if netflixs "drive to survive" was around his career.

Great insight, I should have read this earlier
Having followed Mark Webber closely as an avid Australian F1 fan, this booked helped sort out quite a few things that didn’t make sense about his time with Red Bull.
The honesty and balance was very welcome, mind you a few points were drawn out a little far at times, but understandably and in fairness often to help build a wider and balanced context and narrative.
If you love Motorsport this is a must read.
