Publisher's Summary

From New York Times bestselling author Mia Sheridan comes an emotional, slow burn romance about a woman desperate to hide and the man who sees through her walls, perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score.

I wanted to lose myself in the small town of Pelion, Maine. To forget everything I had left behind. The sound of rain. The blood. The coldness of a gun against my skin. For six months, each breath has been a reminder that I survived—and my dad didn't. I'm almost safe again. But the moment I meet Archer Hale, my entire world tilts on its axis . . . and never rights itself again.

Until I trespass into his strange, silent, and isolated world, Archer communicates with no one. Yet in his whiskey-colored eyes, something intangible happens between us. There's so much more to him than just his beauty, his presence, or the ways his hands communicate with me. On me. But this town is mired in secrets and betrayals, and Archer is the explosive center of it all.

So much passion. And so much hurt. But it's only in Archer's silence that we might just find what we need to heal . . . and live.

Includes an exclusive extended epilogue from Archer's POV!

Sweet story

This was a sweet story. I liked the characters but I feel like there could have been more heartfelt moments that drew out the emotions more

Perspective growth

Such a gorgeous story line. The small life lessons and different perspectives on things really highlights how two people could be the same yet be completely different.

Their love story

I liked the development of their relationship and the challenges they faced. I also liked how Archer’s character developed and how he becomes his own person.

❤️❤️❤️

I loved this, the story is so nice and not like someone writing a book for the sake of it, this is like someone telling you a story of a beautiful love. I was captivated by the characters and felt their emotions. I will be purchasing this book in hard copy form.

Archer & Bree

The book was alright… I liked it, but I didn’t love it. There were some good moments in it, but overall, I thought it was a bit too cheesy and I struggled to connect with some the characters. The overall concept of the story was interesting, and the book did have some really great moments in it, my favourites being…

"There has only ever been you. There. Will. Only. Ever. Be. You."

“I think love is a concept, and each person has an individual word for what sums it up for them. My word for love is Bree.”

It was fine

I purchased this based on lots of great reviews. I listened to it waiting for the “amazing book” everyone talked about. Yes it was a good book but nothing amazing, wasn’t that impressed by the story.

Enjoyable story

Would you listen to Archer's Voice again? Why?

Not sure the story line was 95% but the last few chapters seemed rushed???

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Story line and concept

What does Kris Koscheski and Emily Durante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Good performance

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Little crying involved along with anger to the township.

Any additional comments?

An absolute emotional overload... but SOOO good

I don't often review books I've read, but this one touched me deeply. I'm an emotional wreck, but in the best way. Not only did it bring up a plethora of emotions, and a sense of deep empathy for the reader, but it had enough spice to be fantastic too 🫶
