In the Spiritual Affirmation Series, we will practice meditation by speaking. The scriptures have been arranged so that when you speak them out loud, you are speaking them about yourself, as an affirmation. We will focus on topics such as anxiety and worry, fear, depression, hope, who you are in Christ, peace, power, victory in Christ, and many more. When speaking the truth of God's Word on these topics, you will know and feel the freedom that you have in Christ! This powerful immersive experience can be used for personal study and reflection, as well as group worship and meditation sessions. Join this journey with us! A history of speaking meditation: In Hebrew, Hagah meditation, (pronounced ha-ga or haw-gaw), was the practice of speaking, uttering, making a quiet sound such as sighing. It was to contemplate something as one spoke the words. In Hebrew thought, to meditate upon the Scriptures, one would quietly speak them in a soft voice while abandoning outside distractions, focusing solely on the Word.
