Story

Publisher's Summary
The magnificent sequel to Hank Green's number one New York Times best-selling debut novel, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing
The statues disappeared in an instant. While they were on Earth, they caused confusion and destruction without ever lifting a finger. They also contributed to the untimely death of April May: a young woman who stumbled into their path, naming them the Carls and gaining viral fame in an avalanche of conspiracy theories.
When April's friends try to carry on with their lives, a series of clues arrive - mysterious books that seem to predict the future - and which also seem to suggest April may be very much alive...But there's a bigger mystery to solve.
Did the Carls ever really leave us, and what happens if they're here to stay?
A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor is a bold and brilliant conclusion that asks whether anyone has the right to change the world.
Critic Reviews
"A raucous, boldly inventive tale." (Booklist)
"Provides a "Black Mirror"-like warning of new technology without the heavy feeling of dread." (Usa Today)

I couldn't stop listening!
It's been a long time since I experienced a book I couldn't put down, but I started this in the morning and now it's 7am the next day and I listened to the whole thing without stopping. Satisfying conclusion, but I'm gonna be grieving the end of this series for a little while. Not ashamed to admit I cried

A fantastic story told by many voices
I couldn’t stop listening. The book is written from many characters perspective and each of them are voiced by a unique voice actor. The production of this is great. Will be listening to this a second time immediately.

great sequel
Loved where Hank Green took this book and the characters from the first novel. Definitely worth a listen from the character development and story line. It really makes you think about social media and how it has / can have a big impact in our present and future.

Could not stop listening
Insanely engaging from beginning to end. I was scared it wouldn't be as good as the first book, but is it possible it was even better?

Fantastic
Big Hero Six meets Black Hole meets Sourdough meets Only Forward meets social media. Utterly enthralling indie characters, rollicking tale, enjoyed this immensely.

The perfect young adult story
You know how its easy to find books that resonate as a teenager, and then suddenly you're trying to read fiction for adults and its all like "i'm getting a divorce and I'm unhappy in my career". Well. This is the perfect story about strong, wonderful young adults doing cool stuff. Hank you're incredibly impressive and I hope you keep writing.

Original, rivetting
Quite an original, unusual story but I was engrossed! I've always loved Kristen Sieh's narration that I'd download any book she reads that i wasn't sure about having other people voice the other characters ... but in the end it worked and made for a much more interesting story. The story wobbled somewhat towards the end but the final conclusion was quite satisfactory. Loved listening to the 2 books.
