Matthew Reilly was born on July 2nd, 1974, in Australia. Never one to take “No” for an answer, Reilly met rejections from all the major publishers with a plan. In 1996, Reilly self-published by printing 1,000 copies of Contest. The result was a high quality publication which Reilly was able to walk sell to bookshops in his home town of Sydney.Reilly has authored over a dozen action thriller novels and novellas, and has sold over 7.5 million copies of them, worldwide. His books are known for their fast pace and twisting plots. While many film rights have been purchased to make movies of his books, including Ice Station and Hover Car Racer, none have gone into production yet.
Reilly drives the same model of car from Back to the Future, a DeLorean DMC-12. He also has a life-sized Han Solo (Star Wars character) set in carbonite.

“Another Brilliant book. Matthew Reilly has done it again with this thrilling book that keeps you guessing all the way to the end. I am a huge fan of his work and this story did not disappoint me, a step away from the action of Scarecrow or Jack West Jr but no less thrilling. Loved it!”
