John L. Campbell was born in Chicago, but has lived all over the U.S. and attended university in both North Carolina and New York. His novels range from horror and suspense to apocalyptic, historical fiction to short story collections and dark fantasy noir as well as a tale of crocodiles and the Japanese army based on actual events. He sometimes uses the pen name Atticus Wulf, and has released two supernatural tales under that nom de plume. In 2013 his short story Courageous Little Philomena’s Wondrous Bait was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. A member of both the International Thriller Writers and the Horror Writers Association, Mr. Campbell is active on both the comic book and horror convention circuits. He resides with his family in Ohio, where he is completing his work on the Omega Days series as well as working on other projects.
