It is about two women, Fatima Candeleiro and Clara Drayton, who find themselves involved in different circumstances of revenge.
Fatima, a Brazilian head teacher, is being threatened as a consequence of a decision she made some time ago. Then, she dismissed a pair of untrustworthy coaches from her school, which prompted the clampdown on an organs' traffic mafia with a fatal outcome, whereas Clara, a British investigative journalist, strives to pay back some members of a Bacchus sect which abducted and raped her in Majorca.
