Story
Simon and Vicky couldn’t seem more normal: a wealthy Chicago couple, he a respected law professor, she an advocate for domestic violence victims. A stable, if unexciting marriage. But one thing’s for sure: absolutely nothing is what it seems. The pair are far from normal, and one of them just may be a killer. When the body of a beautiful socialite is found hanging in a mansion in a nearby suburb, Simon and Vicky’s secrets begin to unravel. A secret whirlwind affair. A twenty-million-dollar trust fund about to come due.

Story
Kit Darling is a maid with a snooping problem. She’s the “invisible girl,” compelled to poke into her wealthy clients’ closely guarded lives. It’s a harmless hobby until Kit sees something she can’t unsee in the home of her brand-new clients: a secret so dark it could destroy the privileged couple expecting their first child. This makes Kit dangerous to the couple. In turn, it makes the couple—who might kill to keep their secret—dangerous to Kit.

Story
When Margaret and her husband Hal bought the large Victorian house on Hawthorn Street—for sale at a surprisingly reasonable price—they couldn’t believe they finally had a home of their own. Then they discovered the hauntings. Every September, the walls drip blood. The ghosts of former inhabitants appear, and all of them are terrified of something that lurks in the basement. Most people would flee. Margaret is not most people. Margaret is staying.

Publisher's Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Eccentric, infamous and exceedingly wealthy, the romantic novelist Cassandra Tipp has, it seems, vanished.
In her large, rambling house sits a pile of paper addressed to her niece and nephew. It is a letter. Cassie has been a murder suspect twice in her life. Her family have long been convinced of her guilt. Could the letter be her confession? Or might it be her last will and testament? It turns out to be not quite what anyone expected . . .
Instead of any indication of remorse, the letter tells two extraordinary and darkly disturbing stories. One is of their aunt’s life-long relationship with a creature called Pepper-Man - a tale of bloody nights and magical gifts, of children lost to the woods, of husbands made from twigs and leaves and sticks and stones. The other story is that of an abused little girl growing crooked in the shadows. Which story should the niece and nephew believe? And where is Cassie now? Dead in a ditch, or gone from this world . . . and into another?
You Let Me In is at once the tale of a faerie seduction and a story about an abused child. Crossing the boundaries between magic and reality, we are shown our world, judgemental and cruel, and offered glimpses of another, dark and very different place that is hidden to most of us. Both stories might be true. Both stories end in murder . . .

Twisted!
What a twisted, fairy, scary story.
Enchanted woods and abuse and mental illness have never been so frighteningly linked.
