Goodreads Author of the Year Nominee

She's about to walk on the wild side....

While filling the display case in her bakery, the bell over the door sounds and Tessa O'Hara looks up to see the man of her dreams. Within 30 seconds he asks her out for a beer. But after four months of dating, she discovers he's an undercover DEA agent—and he's investigating her possible role in her ex-husband's drug business. For Tess, this means their relationship is over.

Brock disagrees. He's committed to his anti-drug mission, but he's fallen in love with the beautiful woman who's as sweet as her cupcakes—and he'll do anything to win her back.

Standing between Tess and Brock are their own exes, one of them a drug lord who's determined to get what he wants. Now as danger threatens, can Brock break the rules he's lived by and let loose his wild side to protect the woman he loves?

Wild Man

I really enjoyed Hearing another Kristen Ashley Book. It does add another experience of the author's work as the reader creates another dimension to the imagining in your head. All of the books in this series are a superb journey and you are really sad to reach the end , but with a smile on your face. My advice try them all.

Couldn't finish it

What disappointed you about Wild Man?

Absolutely everything. The story line was boring and the narrator has one voice for all the characters. Considering the title is Wild Man and the author keeps mentioning how wild he is, there is no reference to what makes him wild. I tried to listen to this book twice and, unlike the rest of K.A. books, I couldn't get into it. It could be because the narrator was so bad but I think its a combination of the 2. Very disappointing as I have enjoyed all her other books.

What will your next listen be?

I will keep listening to more of K.A. books but maybe not in the Dream Man series as they are all narrated by Kate Russell. I have moved onto Marian Keyes

What didn’t you like about Kate Russell’s performance?

She didn't vary her voice between male and female which gets confusing. She also has an annoying voice, very off putting!

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No, but I also couldn't finish it so I don't know how it ended.

Something about the narrator

The storyline was ok but I have an issue with the narrator. I get lost between the characters especially the male and female characters. The male characters voices were pitched at the same or sometimes at a higher level than the female
