Interesting but depressing
A really well done and interesting ride through Twain’s life, but depressing in the awareness of all we’ve lost. I also skipped some bits. I’m nowhere near a vegetarian, but some was too much for me.

Unusual and original way of telling a story
I enjoyed Twain's Feast very much. I knew little of Twain's life, let alone his dietary habits, and was amazed to hear of the vast quantity and variety of food and drink which he consumed. Those responsible came up with an original way of telling his story, via the food he ate, and where and when he had encountered it. As well as illuminating Twain, it also told us much about various parts of the USA, from California to Connecticut, but especially about Missouri and the South. The production was well done too.

if you think this is going to be about food, don't bother. it's about a lot of things, but not really about food
