Publisher's Summary

JACK RYAN IS TRAPPED. AN ASSASSIN INCOMING. TIME TO TAKE CONTROL.

A Russian plot to seize the Panama Canal plunges President Jack Ryan into a desperate fight for his life in the latest entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

President Jack Ryan travels to Colombia to support the president who is facing a challenge from autocratic forces. What seems like an ordinary opportunity to preach the values of democracy quickly turns into a nightmare when a full-blown military coup erupts.

President Ryan and his Secret Service team are cut off and out of communication. In Washington, the Vice President is coordinating a military response, but there's still one more obstacle.

One of the main forces behind the coup is the ruthless criminal organization known as the Camarilla. They've had their tentacles deep inside the plot to overthrow the government. And now they have an unexpected opportunity they can't resist - the chance to kill President Jack Ryan.

Outstanding work by Marc Cameron

This book ties up Marc Cameron's Red Winter and brings us to the present day. The campus had expanded with 2 new rookies. Adam Yao is running a CIA op in Columbia when a plot to assinate the Panamanian President and Vice President is uncovered. It coincides with a low-key visit by President Ryan and his Director of National Intelligence Mary Pat Folley. Will they survive? Marc does a fantastic job as always keeping you on the edge of your seat.

The plot never disappoints!

"I was captivated by the thrilling storyline filled with an array of formidable villains posing a relentless threat to the USA, Jack Ryan Senior, the CIA, and the dedicated members of the Campus. The introduction of new recruits into the Campus added an exciting dynamic, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next novel in the series. A special commendation goes to Scott Brick for his exceptional narration, immersing listeners in the story with a skillful and commendable performance. Well done indeed!"

Good pace and works all the storylines together well.

Look, Cameron is no Tom Clancy, but he does a better job than most of the other ghost writers since his passing. (Mark Greaney excepted -still miss him from the Ryanverse but live Sierra Six!!)

Not quite as kitch as the JR jnr writers and pulls a lot of the pieces together nicely, but the dialog is still a little “Mills and Boon for blokes”

All said, still worth a listen.

Amazing Story

As always great narrator, well-written twists and turns and a touchy ending. Thanks for the experience.
