Publisher's Summary

The trouble with Valentine's Day?

It just plain stinks!

Kate Hamilton should know. Dumped by her boyfriend and burnt out by her job, she's returned to Gospel, Idaho, where a Mountain Momma Crafters' original poetry reading is about as good as it gets on a Friday night. Then her first attempted seduction of a hunky stranger is completely rejected. So much for her self-esteem!

It turns out that Rob Sutter, former ice hockey madman, owner of Sutter's Sports - and the hunky stranger who told her to get lost - has been more than burned by love and isn't looking for a relationship. But then he and Kate find themselves in an ultra-compromising position in the M&S Market, giving the phrase "clean up in aisle five" a whole new meaning and causing a whole lot of gossip in Gospel.

3.5 stars

narrator was good. A very classic Rachel Gibson story where there were enough details but at the same time, not enough. Maybe it's because I'm older then when I first picked up her novels, now I just wonder about how Kate will react to Rob's little girl? Did they ever talk about his cheating tendency prior?

Highly Recommended

I have completed all of Rachel Gibsons” books and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Excellent storylines, and the narration is great. I laughed, cried and contemplated some of the storylines. The only downside was that they were finished far too soon.

Frustrating Characters

I found myself being angry at the FMC letting the MMC get away with repeatedly treating her like crap and never calling him out on it. He in return would gaslight her and was hard to like until literally the last chapter.
The story had all the tropes I love and so much potential but just missed for me unfortunately.
Also if I’m honest the constant referral to Robs soul patch and Fu Manchu moustache had me throwing up in my mouth and did nothing for tempting me to fall in love with him eww.

Not one of her best

Bit slow. Good narrator. I like Rachel Gibson books but don’t recommend this one. Cheers.
