Story
Seventy-five years ago, the dragons fell from the sky. We thought they were just meteorites - six terrifying explosions rang the world like a bell. When the dust settled, we went on with our lives as though nothing had happened. More than a decade later, five of the eggs hatched. The dragons that emerged were small and weak. They kept to the shadows, working in secret to persuade people to do their bidding, offering magic as payment and reward. Years passed...and still we didn't notice the evil growing in our midst.

Story
Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in headfirst, pulling his best friend, Aaslo, along for the ride. However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough, and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin and the friends find themselves staring death in the face, they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be.

Epic!
I would venture to say that these first three books are the beginning of an Epic Adventure along the lines of ‘Magician’. I have enjoyed listening to them immensely. The storyline was masterful and David a brilliant narrator!

Addictive Story
This would have to be one of the best trilogies available I believe. The story, characters and emotion is just brilliant. Now getting into the last three, pity they are all separate books. Having the three together was very handy.
The narrator does the story justice in the way he is able to bring every character to life. Bloody well done.

fantasy for 13 year olds
i was hoping for an epic bargain.....trilogy 51 hours of listening. but its written for children. no character development, no suspense. great fantasy imagination and a truly evil prince who will be defeated by a truly good hero. but sadly just too juvenile. great to know theres some nice fantasy worlds out there for young people to read with no sex or swearing in. sadly i will have to return it. no way it can keep my interest for another 49 hours

Imaginative but.....
There was no feeling. I didn't care about the characters because we had no depth of feeling from any of them. I think this is probably more for a male readership.
