How do you mispronounce Rations!

Good books, not as good as the first series but still great.
But honestly how does the reader pronounce rations as raetions... surely someone should have told him. really dumps me out of the fiction.

Fantastic series

This series was gripping, exciting, happy, sad, funny and thought provoking. We listened to it together while doing craft work, and found ourselves doing our craft far too long because we couldn’t stop listening. We also would often stop the audio to discuss points, or found ourselves talking about the characters at other times - discussing motives, what ifs and other possible issues or results. To me this makes a great series - the characters were real enough that we found ourselves talking about the story often.

A great journey into a future world infected by a man made pathogen. Loved the story of an infected boy and his companions.

A wonderful escape

A very enjoyable escape. Fast paced and well written story. Not particularly complex and not pretentious as some writers tend to be, easy to follow a listen to. Sometimes I like that, and don't want something overly deep and meaningful.
Sean Runnette is his usual superb self, with excellent voices for the characters and generally an outstanding performance.
I highly recommend this series, but make sure you read or listen to "Last Survivors " series first.

Ancient future tech, post apocalypse saga....

This narrator is lovely to listen to. The book could have skipped some sections, was slightly predictable in parts, but otherwise was a very creative, easy read. Liked the 'tech magic', would have enjoyed even more of that.

Great value series.

Thought provoking, gripping and suspenseful. However, at times, the storyline was a bit repetitive. the villains are pretty much all the same with similar sinister motives. not enough cursing and more barbaric language imo. The people's vocabulary seems abundant, yet they lack knowledge of the most common tools and weapons. Doesn't make too much sense at times. Having said all that, it does make you think about what would happen if majority of the Earth's population is wiped away and how humanity would survive and rebuild.
