Publisher's Summary
Named after a famous fictional character, librarian Bridget Jones was raised on a remote cattle station, with only her mother's romance novels for company. Now living alone in Fremantle, Bridget is a hopeless romantic. She also believes that anyone who doesn't like reading just hasn't met the right book yet, and that connecting books to their readers is her superpower. If only her love life was that easy.
When handsome Italian barista Fabio progresses from flirting with love hearts on her coffee foam to joining the book club she runs at her library, Bridget prays her romance 'curse' won't ruin things. But it's the attention of her cranky neighbour Sully that seems to be the major obstacle in her life. Why is he going to so much effort to get under her skin?
With the help of her close friends and the colourful characters who frequent her library, Bridget decides to put both men to the test by finding just the right books to capture their very different hearts. She soon discovers that not all romances start with a meet-cute, but they might just end in happily ever after.
Written by Australia's most beloved romance writer, The Other Bridget is a delightfully uplifting book about books, and a gorgeous celebration of the power and pleasure of romance novels throughout the ages.

Not like her rural novels but an easy listen
I’ve listened to every one of Rachael John’s books that are available on audible. I love how easy listening they are and provide an escape while I do chores. This is a new narrator and like Casey Withoos, she’s easy to listen to. I miss the outback themes Rachael does. There’s a disclaimer at the start of the book where the author proclaims not to try win any awards other than just providing readers with a good old fashioned love story - and that’s what this book does. As with all of her books which aren’t deep, it’s just a happy listen.

Loved this so much!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Wish I could have more of B and Sully’s story together and what comes next.
I’m a Perth local and really enjoyed a book set in my own backyard.
It’s my first or her books and definitely not the last ♥️

Predictable
I found the story so predictable. I kept with it hoping I may get a surprise but that did not happen. The main character is a bit whiny.

Very enjoyable
A lot of books make me desperate to finish. This book was different… it was a real treat to just listen and enjoy. A feel good story that made me happy to savour the chapters and listen to. Beautifully narrated and written wonderfully. I bought five books for my friends as Easter gifts.

I didn’t want it to end!!!!
I have read and enjoyed every Rachel John’s books and I thought I had a top 1 but this book has out ranked that!!! I cried at the end for so many reasons but the main one?? That it ended! I could have listened to another 2 hours of this story! The characters had me hooked from page 1 and by the end of the book I felt like they had been my friends and I wanted it to continue for hours more!!
If I could give it 100/5 I would!
