A timeless treasure
It was wonderful to finally find this book as an audio version. Its beauty lies in the story written between the words told and spoken...one of love and purpose.

One of my favourite stories
This book is such an easy listen and one of classic fantasy novels. The narrator did an amazing job with the acting, although some voices were really similar and I had to replay to find out who was talking. Enjoyed this a lot.

Exquisite
“We are not always what we seem, and hardly ever what we dream.”
This was a beautiful book and I'm sad it took me half a century to read it at last. I intend to order a pristine copy and keep it close to read again. It is a fantasy and a fairy tale and meant for young and old alike. It is life - it is death - it is magic. Wonderfully written - the beauty of the language seeps into your soul -a masterpiece in my opinion. And the audio book is also well narrated. Read this book if you haven't already -it is exquisite - let it take you away - “Take me with you. For laughs, for luck, for the unknown. Take me with you.”

A classic not to be missed
A wonderful, fantastical fairytale that will captivate audiences young and old. Beautifully narrated by Clare Corbett (though I agree with the other reviewer who said that greater contrast between the male characters’ voices would have helped). A magical, unforgettable journey for your mind.

Not for me
The introduction by Patrick Rothfuss was the best thing about this book. I kept waiting for the story to live up to the hype surrounding it. That never happened for this listener. Did enjoy the narration.
