Enthralling story
This had me hooked, great story and fantastic narrator who was able to perform a range of voices. The story was so sad at times and eye opening to how people of colour were treated during the civil rights movement.
Very powerful.

Slow but steady
This book started off a bit slow but thats perhaps because I was imagining an intense “on the edge of your seat” thriller. I also found the narration a little irritating. However it picked up nicely and had a good storyline with some twists and turns. I definitely found the last section very compelling and couldn’t put the book down. A good twist with the civil rights history which is very sad but interesting. All in all, I enjoyed this book.
