Publisher's Summary
This wonderfully perceptive new audiobook is about the lines we'll cross for love. It's about the murky areas between right and wrong, and the complexities of modern relationships.
The Hypnotist's Love Story is about the mild craziness that lurks behind the facades we present to the world, especially when it comes to love.
Ellen O'Farrell is an expert when it comes to human frailties. She's a hypnotherapist who helps her clients deal with everything from addictions to life-long phobias. So when she falls in love with a man who is being stalked by his ex-girlfriend she's more intrigued than frightened. What makes a supposedly smart, professional woman behave this way? She'd love to meet her!
What she doesn't know is that she already has. Saskia has been masquerading as a client, and their lives are set to collide in ways Ellen could never have predicted.

Great!
I love Liane Moriarty and this was another great story! her books are easy reading.. well I guess listening in this case. Unlike a lot of easy reads/listens they hook you from the start, are unpredictable, can switch between light hearted and funny as quickly as they can be dark and seamlessly flip back. I highly recommend any of her works

Another great book from Liane Moriarty
I love Liane's books and this was no disappointment. My first listen to Caroline Lee and was a little disappointed with the performance, but on the whole a great addition to the library.

A pleasure from start to finish
You can count on Liane Moriarty and this book was no exception. Now I have read, or listened to them all and await the next one eagerly. Very sympathetic characters in this book. Unusual to have no harsh judgements or unrealistically good and bad characters, all were quite human,

Utterly hypnotizing!
Liane Moriarty is a genius! Once again I was completely drawn in. I fell hook line and sinker for all the characters and found my self simultaneously empathizing with the "heroine" and the "villain". I was devasted to come to the end of the story and would stay in these peoples lives for ever if I could. And can we talk about Caroline Lee for a minute? What a dream story teller, I'd listen to her narrate someone painting a wall!

Ok story
Struggled through the mid-section of the book. It seemed mildly repetitive at times and I wasn't sure I liked some of the characters very much. It was read well though.
It was ok, but enjoyed her other books far more.

Give me more!
My most favourite combination of author and narrator are continuously intertwined in these books. I adore the delicious way that Liane describes the details of thoughts and feelings, movements and interactions. Caroline’s brilliant nuances in tone and inflection.
What a fabulous story. Thank you!

Interesting, quaint, very Sydney
What did you like most about The Hypnotist's Love Story?
The obsessive nature of both women was well portrayed and the stalker woman was by at the more interesting to me; a tad therapeutic but a good mid-range read. It explores relationship development well if not a bit clichéd with the husband-to-be's family. A thoroughly decent and curious novel.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I would have had a Stronger development of the male character, to show how emotionally illiterate he was, but earlier... Perhaps showing his rigidity through his work a little more.
Have you listened to any of Caroline Lee’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Yes; her beautiful Australian voice is excellent in this and the Secret garden Revisted one.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Trance your way out of this one
Any additional comments?
A really good Australian story.
