Publisher's Summary

When a body is found buried near the desolate forest road of Kellers Way, Detective Melanie Carter must identify the victim if she is to have any chance of finding the killer. That's no easy task with fragmentary evidence from a crime committed years earlier and a conspiracy of silence from anyone who might have information.

The one person who may be able to help is Julie West. In a troubled marriage, Julie often jogs along Kellers Way to clear her mind and escape the confines of her suffocating suburban life. Until one day, something happens there that shakes Julie to the core, making her question everything she ever believed about her life, her marriage and even her sanity . . .

'Domestic noir at its best, this work of fiction will leave your heart pounding days after the final pages are finished'. New Idea

WOW

I thought it was a good from the beginning. Nice little twist at the end. Along the lines of some of the great physiological thrillers

the narrator is everything

While the narrator for Julie was wonderful, the cop character's narration was not fabulous, and quite distracting.

Wow, what a surprise

There is a really stimulating storyline and I loved the alternative chapter representations of the two main characters. I fell in love with the voice of Julie, who read her piece perfectly. I suspected the outcome, but not until late into the book but I was never really sure of it until the very end. I'm looking out for further books by Megan.

With an ending like that I wish I didn't read it

I found the story good right until the end. Then when it ended the way it did. I felt angry that I wasted my time reading it

Great story

The main narrator was fantastic but the one reading the detective had very loud breaths in between sentences which was irritating.

Not as gripping as The Escape Room, but ok

The narration was good and the story was ok but I didn't like the ending.

Decent Book but One of the Narrators Was Annoying

Almost couldn't finish this book. The cop narrator was so irritating. Weird over the top accent and constantly letting out breath at the end of sentences.
hard to listen to but a decent enough storyline.
I finished it and enjoyed it regardless of the annoying narrator.
