Story
Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey are unquestionably two of the greatest epic masterpieces in Western literature. Though more than 2,700 years old, their stories of brave heroics, capricious gods, and towering human emotions are vividly timeless. The Iliad can justly be called the world’s greatest war epic. The terrible and long-drawn-out siege of Troy remains one of the classic campaigns. The Odyssey chronicles the many trials and adventures Odysseus must pass through on his long journey home from the Trojan wars to his beloved wife.

Story
At the very end of the Ladies’ Frocks Departments, past Cocktail Frocks, there was something very special, something quite, quite wonderful; but it wasn’t for everybody: that was the point. Because there, at the very end, there was a lovely arch, on which was written in curly letters Model Gowns. Written by a superb novelist of contemporary manners, Ladies in Black is a fairytale which illuminates the extraordinariness of ordinary lives. The women in black are run off their feet, what with the Christmas rush and the summer sales that follow.

Not the full collection
I enjoyed listening to theses wonderful stories but the collection is missing two books, book 4-Anne of Windy Poplars and book 6-Anne of Ingleside which was disappointing. Didn't mind the narrator and liked that she distinguished between characters with different voices but found the change she made in Anne's voice in book 3- Anne of the Island quite disconcerting. Overall good value but not a spectacular production. Also has no chapter titles so you can't tell where one book starts and one ends in the chapter list.

Narrator was good until I heard Anne speak...
No reviews but I thought I’d give it a chance.. the narrator does an excellent job at adult voices.. but she made Anne (who is supposed to be an exceptionally well spoken, intelligent child), sound like a complete ditz.. it is great value, but she did an awful job at capturing Anne’s character.

Hours of beautiful stories but some disappointment
The Anne of Green Gables series has been a favourite of mine since a child. So finding a collection of the stories in one audiobook was an exciting find. L. M. Montgomery is a beautiful storyteller, and Anne and her friends have become a part of my own story of life with their charm, love stories, comedy, tragedy and all the other feelings in between.
There were a couple of things that let down this package for me; the change in narrator for the last couple of books, a couple of the books were missing, and the lack of chapter titles to find your way in the book. Anne of Windy Willows and Anne of Ingleside were missing which is disappointing. Even though it is listed as such, it doesn't make sense to not include them.
Susie Berneis and Tara Ward did great at narrating for the most part, but not only do I prefer to listen to one voice tell all the stories (as each narrator brings something different to the characters) there were also some inconsistencies within each narrators portrayal of the characters, not just because they were growing up. Otherwise a good performance from both.
