Nineteen-year-old Sir Harry de Lyon yearns to prove himself and jumps at the chance when a powerful English baron, William Montagu, invites him on a secret mission with a dozen elite knights. Dev Deshpande has always believed in fairy tales. So it’s no wonder then that he’s spent his career crafting them on the long-running reality dating show Ever After. Story
When Phoebe, goddess of the moon, is killed by the knights of the sun god, Hyperion, all who follow her are branded heretics. With Phoebe gone, the souls of the dead are no longer ferried to the underworld, and instead linger on as shades who feast on the blood of the living. Raef is a child of the night. He lives in the shadows, on scraps, eking out a meager existence as a thief. But when an ornate box is sequestered in the Temple of Hyperion, the chance of a big score proves too great to resist. What he finds within propels him on an odyssey across the sea and back again.

Without an academic endorsement to make him valuable to the high fey, Saffron will be sent back through the veil to the human world. The place he was traded from as a changeling-baby, and a place he is terrified of. And while getting an endorsement shouldn't be impossible, it's hindered by the fact his literacy is self-taught, using books stolen off of Morrígan Academy's campus of high fey students.

Unaware their fates are already entwined, the men journey north. Critic Reviews
"I absolutely adored Penn and Raff's story. Not only is it a propulsive romance that had me fully emotionally invested in the HEA; it is also a gorgeously written historical novel." (Women’s Prize for Fiction longlisted author of Careless, Kirsty Capes)
"Road trips and dagger fights and secret identities, oh my! Denny's debut is a beautifully thoughtful and deliciously sweet romance about getting lost in order to find oneself. I loved every moment I spent in the forest and on the road with Penn and Raff." (Freya Marske, International bestselling author of A Marvellous Light)

A sweet medieval MM
Such a sweet story of forbidden romance, secret identities and longing for different futures. Loved the characters and the setting was beautiful.
First time listening to these narrators. They did a good job, but I did at times find their voices a little similar to differentiate.
