Story
Sen never dreamed of ascension. Such were the aspirations of the rich young nobles, not orphans like him, scraping together a meager living on the streets of Orchard’s Reach. However, when destiny takes an unexpected turn, Sen finds himself thrust into the role of a cultivator’s disciple. Chosen over the nobles who once looked down on him, he is adopted into a makeshift family of three ancient cultivators, each with a lifetime of knowledge and insights. These old monsters will teach Sen everything they can, from the art of the jian and spear to the mysteries of arcane alchemy.

Story
Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people. An odd start to a new life. Almost as strange as the humans flying through the skies on flaming swords and challenging the heavens. After all, this is a world where humans could chase the goal of immortality through the art of cultivation. But Ashlock is merely a sapling in a desolate courtyard, left alone with his thoughts and unable to speak to those passing him by. Unless he does something about it.

Dhane kicked the bucket in spectacular fashion, every bone crushed, every organ popped against the full force of a 40-ton garbage truck speeding through a red light. The only part of him intact—whole—entirely unaffected by the grisly affair was his soul. Souls are durable things, you see, like kids: they bounce. And bounce he did, into the abyss between worlds, drifting until one excited soul watcher fished him out and found him a new home, a heaven for gamers and nerds and everything in between.

Story
Pete is a simple man who enjoys a good drink amongst good friends. Not too much to ask, right? Now, he's trapped in a fantasy world far from home, stuck underground and inside the body of a smelly dwarf with fantastic facial hair. The worst part? The swill that the dwarves are falling all over themselves to drink. It's flat, it's watery, and it has the alcohol content of a rancid coconut. Can Pete save the dwarves from their own sour fate, or will he be forever doomed to plink his pickaxe away in hopes that he hits the motherlode?

Story
The usual result of a human taking a runaway semitruck head-on is a very sudden, very fast track to the pearly gates. But for one newly noncorporeal man, there's another option: become a dungeon. Feeling sorry for the desperate angel assigned to him, the man relents. Heck, if it doesn't work out, he can always chat with Saint Peter about it later. Next thing you know, he's a dungeon. Admittedly, a small run-down, somewhat unimpressive dungeon (more of a house, actually), but you gotta start somewhere, right?

Publisher's Summary
Somebody once told a joke.
A man ran in place all his life. He worked a job he didn't love for people he couldn't stand. But at the end of the day, the number in his bank account went up.
That man got a second chance at life. He woke up in another world, one full of adventures and romances and monsters and gods. And floating above his head, he saw the number "1".
So what did he say?
"Gosh, I better make the number go up."
Not today. Not for this old soul. Reborn as a beast of battle meant to live a short life and die screaming, Garek refuses. He puts the madness of skills and levels behind him and sets out to found a little farmstead. He grows crops. Maybe someday he'll get a pig and have bacon.
It's a shame the world won't let him be. It's a shame that the warmongers and level-grinders hate nothing more than a soul at peace.
He put down his sword for a plowshare, but when trouble comes calling, he'll pick it up again.

Somehow never a dull moment
I got to start this with the narrator blew this out of the water. Great performance, great characters and overall really made it enjoyable.
The story itself was very good hitting most of the notes you'd expect from the description with ironically my main issue being that there is too much happening almost all the time. The character rarely ever gets the chance to really relax and not just because there is a ton of work to do but because things are just always happening around or too them. I will admit it does keep things interesting but there is surprisingly little farming in a farming sim. The other thing is that the MC is annoyingly forgetful and gets themselves into a few situations that could have been solved by just telling people things.
I also really enjoy the supporting cast with them being very enjoyable and believable characters with only one being questionable but i imagine the next book would solve that issue. I also enjoy how much the MC fucks up as well and just does not get things right the first time, learning from their issues and realising they might be doing things wrong. It really humanizes the character instead of them just being very good at everything the first time. Will be looking forward to the next book!
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
