Includes an exclusive bonus interview with David Tennant.

Ian Fleming was born in London in 1908. He was educated at Eton and worked as a journalist in Moscow and a banker and stockbroker in London before becoming personal assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence during the Second World War. He wrote his first Bond novel, Casino Royale, in 1952 at Goldeneye, his home in Jamaica. Since then James Bond has gone on to become a global phenomenon.

David Tennant has won critical acclaim for his performance as Detective Alec Hardy in the hugely successful crime drama Broadchurch, a role he is soon to reprise in the upcoming American remake, Gracepoint. He shot to global fame during his tenure as the Tenth Doctor in the Doctor Who series, and has starred in a number of other award winning films and television shows, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Single Father. On stage he has played Benedick in Much Ado about Nothing, as well as the title roles in Hamlet and Richard II.

Better than the Movie

Fleming portrays Bond as a real person. One can really relate to the main character. This story is one where the Movie actually sticks very closely to the story in the book. My favourite so far

the doctor is perfect

Tennant is outstanding, his natural Scottish notes a bonus & with Dr.No OHMSS has aged the best of Fleming's "Olde World" novels.

Brilliant Story

A gripping story that ends in tragedy for Bond, it brings out more of his character development and David Tennant does an excellent job in making characters come to life.

David Tennant does an amazing job as the narrator. The story is showing a little age and some of the references are indicative of the attitudes of the times

Brilliant!

David Tennant as brilliant as ever!
In the chapter where the 4 men were having a meeting on Christmas Day I honestly believed that there were 4 men reading the parts. His French and German were pronounced like a native and his Marc-Ange Draco and Irma Bunt were fantastic!
Ian Fleming is a real sexist but it was 1963. (How far we have come!)
Very entertaining.
