Publisher's Summary
Agatha Christie’s most famous murder mystery, read by director and star of the film adaptation, Kenneth Branagh.
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside.
Isolated and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again.
Critic Reviews
“Need it be said – the little grey cells solve once more the seemingly insoluble. Mrs Christie makes an improbable tale very real, and keeps her readers enthralled and guessing to the end.” Times Literary Supplement
“A brilliantly ingenious story.” Dorothy L. Sayers, Daily Herald
“Ingenuity at its height … the idea is utterly novel, the setting a model of realism, and the characters a versatile, attractive crew.” Woman’s Journal

Came to life
Riveting and an excellent book to listen to rather than read. I read this then later watched the tv show episode and the film that Branagh directed, but nothing comes close to the book in terms of content. Kenneth Branagh does a great job with the different accents and voices for the different characters - there are honestly times where you would think they were different people!

Absolutely excellent
I love Murder on the Orient Express, I loved reading it and I loved the movie featuring the wonderful Kenneth Branagh. He has a fantastic voice that brought all the characters to life and drew you in. I’d listen to it while driving and when I got home I’d stay in the car and keep listening for a while longer. Very good audiobook

Even knowing the ending I enjoyed it
Murder on the Orient Express has been parodied endlessly, and thus most people know of the ending. Even so, learning about the details of the murder and how it was covered up was an enjoyable and intriguing experience.
I think what the book has best to offer is insight into human nature from all the different personalities on the train that Poirot interacts with.
