Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Love Hypothesis comes anothe STEMinist rom-com in which a scientist is forced to work on a project with her nemesis - with explosive results.

Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project - a literal dream come true - Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school - archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.

But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas... devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing.

But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there's only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

Critic Reviews

"Your world is about to be rocked." (Elena Armas, author of The Spanish Love Deception)

"Hopelessly, brilliantly, wonderfully romantic. I loved it even more than The Love Hypothesis, and I didn't think that was possible." (Cressida McLaughlin)

Completely dorky, unbearably cute

This book made me snort laugh, blush and cry and I hate any one who judges me for liking this book

Fine... I Guess

Author writes the same two characters every time. It has officially become grating. Had high hopes for this one and was pretty disappointed! Definitely not a bad book, but it felt like it was just hitting the right beats with very little charm.

Perfect

Just as good as The Love Hypothesis. Well developed characters and an interesting plot. Nerdy science + adorable love story. Definitely a five star listen.

Loved it

I thoroughly enjoyed this listen!
I read some bad reviews for it after I'd downloaded and to be honest, I'm glad I did because it far exceeded those reviews for me. Ali clearly has a formula that works, unexpected love in a lab where the male lead is hopelessly devoted to the female lead without her having a clue. I love it! It's so nice to read about men pine after women when it's so commonly the opposite.
The only thing I rolled my eyes at was the miscommunication trope again. I found that more annoying than inThe Love Hypothesis because how can a woman who is so smart be so blind? I know it was supposed to be to shield herself from more hurt and past trauma but God I hate miscommunication tropes when its uneeded for the story. It made sense in The Love Hypothesis to use it but I don't think it was necessary here.
Overall though, really enjoyed and the sex scenes were more frequent so yay for me and my love life too! 💕

Similar content

I’m convinced the male protagonists in Love on the Brain and Love Hypothesis are the same person. Ali must have a type haha.
Enjoyable book and I couldn’t stop listening, especially towards the end. It’s a romance novel, so there are predictable parts of the story, but it’s still cute. Great narration.

Worth it !!!!

Characters are so cool, and there is so much range. As it seems with Hazelwoods writing the inner-monologue is a lot, BUT I personally love it especially the humour. But I do wonder how long everyone in the scene is standing there staring at her while she thinks 3 paragraphs worth of thoughts hahaha.

Loooveeee the romantic longing and build up - deffs my fave.

Utterly charming

I love the way personality quirks are explored and getting to dip my proverbial toe in the world of academia, can’t wait for the next release!
