A beautiful winding love story. Who does Charlotte end up with?
I couldn’t put this book down. Many twists and turns. Beautifully written. An insightful account of what happened to unmarried mothers in the 1800s

An eye-opening but beautiful story.
Wow. What a story. This unique Regency romance sheds light on the darker and more difficult sides of life for unwed women in 19th Century London. It is incredibly well-researched and written. Bad things can indeed happen to good people and a fall from grace can be dire. My heart bleeds for Charlotte and the choices she finds herself having to make. It’s humbling to think this was commonplace for many of that era. The references to ‘Milkweed’ are poignant. The ending is tear-jerking and beautiful. This is one of my favourite JK books.

Awesome
What a beautiful story. The narration was Brilliant.
I really appreciated the depth the author went into and the clarity of lifes difficulties in those times. A story of joy. Romance love sorrow, hardship. What can I say? Has life really changed.
