When Marilyn Kleinman is caught making out with the rabbi’s son in front of the whole congregation, her parents ship her off to her great-aunt Ada for the summer. If anyone can save their daughter’s reputation, it’s Philadelphia’s strict premier matchmaker. Either that or Marilyn can kiss college goodbye. To Marilyn’s surprise, Ada’s not the humorless septuagenarian her mother described. Not with that platinum-blonde hair, Hermès scarf, and Cadillac convertible. Story
True-crime podcaster Jess Keeler has returned to Deeton County, North Carolina, to pick up where her grandfather left off. Sheriff’s Deputy Big Jim Ballard, her grandfather, was a respected detective—until it all came crashing down during a 1972 murder investigation. For Jim, solving the murders of two teens should have been the highlight of his already storied career. Instead, he battled his own mind, unsure where his hunches ended and the truth began.
Publisher's Summary
Based on the true events of the world's most notorious art heist. Where did all the loot go?
Art conservator JJ Jego’s hobby is photography. When an incident involving the police unfolds on the pier she starts clicking away. Later she finds she has captured something unusual in the window of an apartment. It looks like a Vincent van Gogh—a print surely, but it's not just any Van Gogh: the original Six Sunflowers was destroyed in 1945. And that's not the only famous painting she glimpses. Other works are from the notorious 1990 Isabella Gardner Stewart museum robbery. But what are they doing in Sydney? JJ needs to find a way to get inside that apartment. She reluctantly enlists the help of her estranged father, an ex-detective, to who she hasn't spoken for seven years. JJ can't forgive him for the way he treated her mother, but they do have one thing in common: a love of art.

Could not stop listening!
This is not my usual genre of book but friends had recommended it so I thought i would give it a try. From the first chapter I was hooked. It's a really great story, a thriller with a twist that kept me interested and wondering from the very beginning. I loved the many fascinating bits about the art world.
I also really enjoyed the way John Green wrote the story - it has an underlying sense of humour that I find irresistible (even in some of the more hectic scenes) as well as references to pop culture that really appealed.
All in all an excellent and fun read!
