Publisher's Summary

In my two previous books, "Emergency Landing—Based on a True Story" and "Emergency Landing—The Life of Carlos", I described my experience during my stay in Oregon and the flight back to Houston. During that flight, one of the passengers, Carlos Pérez, suffered two severe epileptic episodes halfway through the trip. The nurse, who was traveling as a passenger on the plane, and me had to provide first aid, I was playing the role of translator from English to Spanish and, at the same time, assisting and facilitating the nurse's work. Due to the medical conditions that Carlos experienced, the nurse informed the plane's crew that, to prevent serious complications and guarantee the patient's life, the only viable option was to make an emergency landing and urgently transfer him to a hospital.

This story would not be complete without revealing the incredible existence of the true heroine; I mean the wonderful life of the nurse. She was the one who saved Carlos, provided him with first aid and gave the timely warning to the plane's pilots so they could urgently implement the protocol to make an emergency landing. I think Carlos is alive today because of her. As I tried with Carlos, I tried to contact the nurse, but did not obtain information that would allow me to locate her. Therefore, I decided to imaginatively recreate the life of this heroine whom we will call Emma. That is the name that came to my mind when I remembered his face of serenity, professionalism, and security in those difficult and tense moments on the plane. Emma is a heroine who has saved and helped many people.

I invite you to explore and, at the same time, enjoy the most mysterious aspects of this Saga, where the existence of places and points in time, in the lives of the characters, coincide in a mysterious way, without them realizing it. I hope you discover them.
