Publisher's Summary

Follow God's process for growth and learn how you can benefit from life's challenging experiences with this audiobook by best-selling inspirational author T.D. Jakes.

In this insightful audiobook, number one New York Times best-selling author T.D. Jakes wrestles with the age-old questions: Why do the righteous suffer? Where is God in all the injustice?

In his most personal offering yet, Bishop Jakes tells crushing stories from his own journey - the painful experience of learning his young teenage daughter was pregnant, the agony of watching his mother succumb to Alzheimer's, and the shock and helplessness he felt when his son had a heart attack.

Bishop Jakes wants to encourage you that God uses difficult, crushing experiences to prepare you for unexpected blessings. If you are faithful through suffering, you will be surprised by God's joy, comforted by his peace, and fulfilled with his purpose.

Crushing will inspire you to have hope, even in your most difficult moments. If you trust in God and lean on him during setbacks, he will lead you through.

The best book so far on the process of crushing

I have read many other books on the subject of crushing, because my husband have experienced it in close up by losing a daughter at 16 years of age in a car crash in 2012.
I have wept listening to the amazing analogy of the grapes turning into wine and the whole process.
This is the best book with all the answers you need and why!
Thank you Ps. Jakes for sharing your personal experience with the world.

Great content, a little tedious in delivery

The timing of my listening to this book was amazing … so relevant to where I find myself in my life right now. The content is extremely good, and gives meaning and purpose to the suffering we each go through in life in different ways. I did find it difficult to listen to, most of all because the narrator seemed to feel it was necessary to say the same thing twice in a row (I imagine the book has highlighted statements, most likely in some sort of "box" or shading, as I have seen in other books, but when you have just said the thing in the flow of the writing, having it repeated immediately in narration seems pointless and tedious. Otherwise, however, the narrator was easy to listen to, clear and well-spoken, not overly dramatic as some are, but not monotone either. That was my only criticism of his performance. I did struggle with the way in which some concepts were expressed, or some of the personal details described, but overall, it is a very worthwhile book which, for someone in the midst of difficult and painful trials, should provide some hope and a sense of purpose in the midst of them.
