Good story

I enjoyed the story but the narrating wasn’t good. The narrator kept rereading lines and I lost track of who the characters were that were speaking because he used the same voice for all of them.

Not easy to listen to.

The reader made lots of mistakes! He had a pleasant voice but slurred a lot.

Don't use your credit

I made it to the end because I paid for this audio book, but can't say I enjoyed it. The narrator and lack of editing ruined it for me. I'm not really a fan of stories where there is a lack of suspects until the end, and then I could guess it straight away

Poorly edited narration

A reasonable story but due to many narration errors it was a frustrating listen.

editing required

As everyone said. It is hard to listen to and not enough editing done. Come on Audible, read your reviews!

Narration let down

Fortunately I accidentally started with book 2 of the series. Because the narration of this book would not make me finish the series!!

Worst narration i have heard to date! And i had to pay 😩

Great story but narrator lets it down

Glad they changed narrator after this first book. Felt narrator was slow and repeated himself many times, frustratingly other books refer to this case so went back to hear this one. Annoyed this is the only one that charged a credit given how difficult the listen was.

great story, unfortunate narrator

I enjoyed the story. it had the right amount of mystery and anticipation, but the narration was slow and distracting. i spent much of the time wondering about the narrator - he seemed elderly with breathing difficulties... I found myself considering his ailments. glad he got the opportunity to narrate, though.
