This had absolutely no business being this good!
This was pure entertainment. And the narration was AMAZING, really, REALLY well done. The dark humor was top tier, the spice was excellently spicy, the characters dynamic was perfection and Including pieces from the horror classics was genius. Somehow Brynne was able to accomplish making this as romantic as two serial killers could get. And the comedy?! I can’t get over how hilarious this was! My sense of humor is dark though, so this was the perfect amount of twisted for me. I ate this up and cannot wait for books 2 & 3!

A decadent feast for the ears.
I went into this blind and thoroughly recommend others do so. The voice acting was sublime, the story rivetting, and I can't wait to experience this world again.

New favourite duet
Performance from both narrators were amazing. I’ve read the book and loved it but I love the audible with the characters true emotions captured.

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did
Okay so there are some very dark themes in this book, they do graphically murder people - they are serial killers, afterall. But, despite one little scene towards the end I never really felt uncomfortable with these scenes. There is also detailed sex scenes, so be aware of that.
Anyway, BEST NARRATION EVER. I LOVED the way this narration was done, with both characters reading their lines, not just their chapters - means no awkward male-attempting-to-sound-female moments. Joe has a super sexy voice and I'm pretty sure I'm in love with him now. Lucy definitely complimented him perfectly and held her own.
Great romance, dark themes but also great humour. Can't wait to dive into the next one.

Fantastic! Narrated in duet 😍
Books narrated in duet are by far my favourite kind of audiobook. Especially when Joe Arden is involved. This story was a rollercoaster, a little friends to lovers tale with a side of murder. Performance was excellent. Spice was spicing. Definitely worth the listen!
