Publisher's Summary
As Quebec City shivers in the grip of winter, its ancient stone walls cracking in the cold, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache plunges into the strangest case of his celebrated career. A man has been brutally murdered in one of the city’s oldest buildings - a library where the English citizens of Quebec safeguard their history. And the death opens a door into the past, exposing a mystery that has lain dormant for centuries... a mystery Gamache must solve if he’s to catch a present-day killer. Steeped in luscious atmosphere, brimming with the suspense and wit that have earned Louise Penny a massive global following, Bury Your Dead is the most ingenious suspense novel of the year.

Another fantastic book from a marvellous writer
Every word! Three stories in one. Very informative mix of fact into a fictional story especially for a non Quebecois.

three stories in one... fantastic
Loved every minute of this. Three stories in one. It has taken time for me to adjust to Adam Simms since the loss of Ralph Cosham but I quite like his performance now. The story was fantastic.

Spectacular!
Of all the Louise Penny books I have listened to so far, I have loved this one the most! (And that's saying something!) 4 mysteries in the one book, Quebec history, and even more French language - LOVED IT! I even cried at one point. Story telling, character development and narration at its best!

Riveting tale
We really enjoyed another intriguing Gamache story, that weaves Canada history and our favourite characters together in a story that definitely holds your attention to the end.

So confused
Three concurrent storylines was too much for me. Whilst I’ve loved Louise Penny’s previous books and subsequent books, I didn’t think this was her best with some explanations implausible. I still don’t understand what happened to Paul Moran... going online to google now
