Publisher's Summary
Milo.
Unusual. Quirky. Different. I’ve heard it all. I’ve accepted I’m not for everyone. Maybe not anyone. When I find out I inherited a bookstore and apartment on a small East Coast island, I jump at the chance for a new life. Turns out I’ve also inherited a sexy, tattooed guy who not only rents the space next to my store for his tattoo parlor but my apartment too.
Did I mention he’s really hot? And surprisingly sweet?
Gideon.
I wasn’t looking for a roommate, but it’s not like I can stay at Milo’s place while he’s banished to a hotel. Our unlikely friendship is instant. According to Milo, we’re bestie goals. And if he doesn’t wear pants at home, who am I to complain?
Milo’s not like anyone I’ve ever known. I like laughing and flirting with him. He’s adorably honest, eager, and sexier than he realizes. Now, I just have to figure out how to convince him that maybe it’s time for an upgrade from bestie to boyfriend goals.

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this book. It had a lighter less emotional feel than other Riley Hart books I’ve read but still hit all the feels! I loved the characters and how Milo’s neuro diversity made him such an honest, kind, interesting & lovable guy. Hot tattooed Gideon was truly boyfriend goals!
Narration was excellent and the different characters were easily identifiable and unique

Brilliant!
I seriously could not put this book down! Such a character driven read, all of the people in this book felt real and I wanted to live in their world with them!
My heart swelled as I recognised Autistic/Neurodivergent/Spectrum traits Milo demonstrated that I possess and also shown in my loved ones - making me love this character (and identify with him) even more. Not only that, but I recognised the reactions he faced - which was surprisingly validating.
So not only is this a simply brilliant story, it can give back to the reader in unexpected ways - enriching our own lives and making us come out happier people at the end of it.
It's not even only about Milo - but the relationships built with the people of the town are magnificent and deeply ingrained histories are portrayed sensitively and with feeling. Everyone should read this book - it's as simple as that!

Absolutely beautiful story
OMG. I just love the way this wonderful story is written and narrated. Totally fell in love with Milo - the way he reacted and talked- was so genuinely real.
An absolute winner for Riley Hart. Thankyou so much 💓

So sweet!
I don’t think I stopped smiling once throughout this book. While I wish Milo described himself as autistic more often because neurodivergent is too broad a term I loved his character so much. And Gideon with his piercings and tattoos? Yes. I could read this book over and over it was just so sweet and made me happy!

I loved this book
I'm autistic and it was so nice to see a story like this. Milo was hilarious, I loved his dynamic with Gideon. I'm not saying this book is perfect, nor is my issues that Milo is different to my own autistic experiences. all us us experience things differently.
it was just a little too much of a fantasy for me. Its not that easy easy. I also found the extent of Milos internationalised ablism jarring considering he is unmasked and talks about neurodivergece. Still over all very cool.
I was once the autistic girl who didn't understand people with tattoos, now I'm married to a non autistic woman who has one.

Milo and Gideon are absolutely adorable together
Boyfriend Goals is a MM romance standalone.
Now I have a real hit and miss time when reading Riley's books in that sometimes I don't vibe with them. I wanted to read this one as there are easter eggs for the Franklin U series.
I believe some elements of the book made me question the direction of the book for example some of the representation of autism in Milo's character. While I am not part of the community I believe that some aspects could have been approached differently.
Milo and Gideon are absolutely adorable together and I did enjoy their chemistry along with the feeling of home they brought to each other.
