Publisher's Summary
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Wars of the Roses: Bloodline, the third instalment in Conn Iggulden's thrilling Wars of the Roses trilogy.
Winter 1461 - Richard Duke of York is dead, his ambitions in ruins, his head spiked on the walls of York city. King Henry VI is still held prisoner. His Lancastrian queen rides south with an army of northerners, accompanied by warriors from the Scottish Highlands. Margaret and her army seem unstoppable. But his death has unleashed York's sons.
Edward of March, now Duke of York, proclaims himself England's rightful king. Through blood and treason, broken men and vengeful women, brother shall confront brother, king shall face king. Two men may claim a crown. Only one can keep it.

English history not so boring
Gripping from beginning to end. Puts current events into perspective. Narration was superb. Onto the next Iggulden series.

exciting and fascinating
Though it's sometimes hard to follow all the characters and the twists and turns in loyalties, it is an exciting and fascinating read. The voice performance made all the difference to my enjoyment.

Wish I’d read this first
Not a patch on the Conqueror or Emperor series, couldn’t wait to get to the end.

Disappointing
I read the first three books of this series. In comparison with the high standard I associate with this author they all seemed rather ordinary.
The best thing about them was the professionalism of the narrator, However, even he could not raise any enthusiasm within me for this series.
