With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses.

Publisher's Summary
From #1 New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a trilogy about the land we’re drawn to, the family we learn to cherish, and the people we long to love…
Book Three of The Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy, Blood Magick
County Mayo is rich in the traditions of Ireland, legends that Branna O’Dwyer fully embraces in her life and in her work as the proprietor of The Dark Witch shop, which carries soaps, lotions, and candles for tourists, made with Branna’s special touch.
Branna’s strength and selflessness hold together a close circle of friends and family - along with their horses and hawks and her beloved hound. But there’s a single missing link in the chain of her life: love…
She had it once - for a moment - with Finbar Burke, but a shared future is forbidden by history and blood. Which is why Fin has spent his life traveling the world to fill the abyss left in him by Branna, focusing on work rather than passion.
Branna and Fin’s relationship offers them both comfort and torment. And though they succumb to the heat between them, there can be no promises for tomorrow. A storm of shadows threatens everything that their circle holds dear. It will be Fin’s power, loyalty, and heart that will make all the difference in an age-old battle between the bonds that hold their friends together and the evil that has haunted their families for centuries.
Don’t miss the first two books in the Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy, Dark Witch and Shadow Spell

Truly captivating
The story was sting and an amazing end to the trilogy. I was captured with suspense and impatient to hear more. It was not predictable at any stage. Sadly it came to an end. I loved it. Very entertaining and truly captivating.

Listening whilst doing other things is a great.
AUDIBLE REVIEW 2022
Read a few times before and will be read again but listening whilst doing other things is a great enjoyment.
Needs to be read in order to get best impact.
Though this is similar to other trilogies by Ms Roberts in things that happen or are done, it still stands alone with its sheer ability to draw you into the story and its characters.
In this finale against Cabhal, we also get the two major characters, Branna and Finbar, letting us know their story. We have had hints and small pieces but now we get it all.
I feel I wanted to shake Branna for her narrowed, structured, unforgiving view of circumstances but feel this is more the stupidity of youth.
So much time wasted when love should have been everything. But I also feel it was meant to be this way too.
My only regret is they have both been with others. Fin, to try to forget Branna and all he had lost. Branna really didn’t have a reason as she is the one who turned from Fin.
But I did love that it is Branna who brings them full circle.
Great story, lots happening and a well thought out ending, emotional and gripping.
But I just wanted that bit more. Maybe an epilogue with Iona and Boyle’s wedding, that also show how the others are getting on too.

Audio books were incredible 📚
I just finished the last audio book in the Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy.
Each book was performed by a different voice/narrator which at first I did not like but as the 2nd book progressed understood why & it really worked.
The narrator in the last book moved me to tears in the crest-sending moments of the last act. We all knew what had to happen but the writing was magnificent.
Well done Nora Roberts, well done.

The Jewel in the Trilogy’s Crown!
I didn’t like the narrator in Book 1, & it seems from the reviews that many others felt the same. As a big NR fan in general, I was a little disappointed, although overall it was still a worthy read.
I thought Book 2 was much more rewarding, with a big improvement both in narrator & the writing/description/unfolding of the storyline.
For me, Book 3 was the best of the trilogy by far, with the storyline culminating in a most satisfying climax. The narrator allowed the book to speak for itself without over-interpretation (finally!) & her warm, lilting Irish accent was just right, not overdone. I felt the storyline had better pacing & ebb/flow in general too. The development of the characters & their individual traits/quirks was never a problem for me in the first 2 Books, but it certainly triumphed in the 3rd, wherein they each reached their true potential. I’m sad it’s over, but overall I loved the series & will no doubt be reading it all over again sometime in the near future.

Sad it's over
I love this trilogy! I'm sad that it's over😞 I really liked the narrator of this book and the first book. Wasn't so keen on the man who narrated the 2nd book. However, that doesn't take away from how good the books themselves are.

Brilliant
I just loved this trilogy. I only wish the same narrator had been used in all 3 books as the first 2 spoilt it a bit but the story line kept me going. I thoroughly enjoyed this final book.
