Publisher's Summary
When foster carer Cathy Glass is asked to foster Darcy-May, a two-day-old baby, she is very concerned.
The baby is coming to her straight from the hospital and will have no contact with her teenage mother, Haylea. Even more worrying, she will be brought to Cathy with a police escort, as it’s vital her extended family don't know where she is.
Abandoned at birth, Cathy and her family quickly bond with little Darcy-May, although they have to accept she will eventually leave them to be adopted. But fostering is rarely straight forward, and when Haylea asks to see her baby, a different story begins to emerge. It’s so alarming that even Cathy, a highly experienced foster carer, struggles.

I love Cathy Glass books, she’s an amazing lady who has done some amazing work looking after children when needed. Hayley sure was felt the worse as a child, I really hope she moved toward with her life and showed them she could move on. And little DM with her new loving family.

Incredibly well written book about the true story of an abused 14 year old and the ensuing issues set in motion after she gave birth to a baby girl.
I am not an ignorant person but when you hear the dreadful things that happen to some children it’s absolutely mind boggling. A must read (or listen)

I'd recommend any of Cathy Glass's books
I love Cathy's books and have read them all. It shed light on important issues in the foster community and in child abuse. I love how Cathy always spins the stories to look at the silver lining. She is positive, but also realistic in her views.

Absolutely fantastic and a heartfelt read
I so loved reading this book. I love Cathy Glass novels and as a foster carer myself I really enjoy being able to make similar connections to Cathy's stories. This book was hard to put down . It was so beautifully written, respectful and heartfelt. It made me feel so connected and sympathetic to the horrific story of abuse that played out in a young girls life and the heart breaking consequences she had to live with as a result of it. Thankyou for another fantastic read x
