Story
For years that night at the party has played on repeat in my mind. Danni was tipsy and heartbroken after being dumped suddenly by Nathan. I took her to lie down, encouraged her to sleep it off, told her to stop making a scene. Only hours later, Danni was found outside beneath the bedroom window, dead. Danni’s parents see me as a second daughter. They even have my picture hanging on their wall. But they don’t know everything about the night their daughter died. They don’t know what I can’t bring myself to tell them, and the truth is eating me alive.

Story
My heart pounds as I take in the headline: ‘Missing girl believed kidnapped’. Underneath is a photo of my beautiful daughter Mia, her gap-toothed grin unmistakable. But Mia is safe beside me, snuggled up on the sofa. Who has taken a photo of her, and put it on the news? And what message are they trying to send me…? I run to the window of our little house–the cosy, homely place my husband Mark and I bought so Mia could have everything I didn’t as a child–and pull the curtains tightly shut, hiding us from sight as terror courses through my body.

Story
I’ve lived on this quiet street for years, in the same house I once shared with my husband and our beloved daughter, Chloe. Now they’re both gone and my home, that used to be filled with laughter, is too quiet, too still. When a little boy I don’t recognize knocks at my door, without a parent in sight, I’m shocked. He trembles with nerves, and I tell him I can help find his mother. But I’m not prepared for what he says next. I’m left frozen, heart pounding in my chest.

Repetitive and Predictable
Was pretty easy to tell where this story was going from the start. That wouldn’t have been an issue but the characters weren’t amazing and everything that happened was told to you from multiple peoples point of view, felt very repetitive. The narration was okay but I can’t say much of this text was enjoyable.

It was ok
Should’ve ended somewhere half way through the book. Kinda dragged and I lost interest once she was found.
The accent was a little hard to understand but it was sweet, in a put me to sleep kinda way

Terrible Narrator
The guy narrating the detective was so bad, he delivered every single sentence in the same speech pattern. Cannot believe I made it to the end, so predictable & obvious…
