Story
Eight years ago, when the Philistines stole and then surrendered the ark of the covenant back to the Israelites, Eliora left her Philistine homeland to follow the ark to the community of Kiryat Yearim. There, the family she was adopted into has guarded the ark at the top of a mountain in seclusion. Ronen is a Levite musician determined to return the ark to Shiloh, where his tribe believes it belongs. He never expected that the Philistine girl he rescued years ago would now be part of the very family he's tasked to deceive.

The prophet Nehemiah's cousin can speak numerous languages, keep complex accounts, write on rolls of parchment and tablets of clay, and solve great mysteries. In her early childhood years, Sarah experienced the death of her mother and her father's subsequent emotional distance, and she came to two conclusions: God does not care about me, and my accomplishments are the measure of my worth.

Unveiling Truths
I enjoyed hearing the author’s rendition of Biblical times. An intriguing story that has you questioning what feelings we all veil behind our fears. I found this story to be a good reminder of the truth beheld in our Loving Father’s Word - “Above everything else, guard your heart; for it is the source of life’s consequences. Keep crooked speech out of your mouth, banish deceit from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze on what lies in front of you. Level the path for your feet, let all your ways be properly prepared; then deviate neither right nor left; and keep your foot far from evil.”
Mishlei (Pro) 4:23-27 CJB
It never ceases to amaze me how YHWH uses the troubled times in our lives for good - Mariah’s cooking skills were gained while in Jericho. I know this is only a story but l am sure it mirrors truth in many of our lives.
