Still, newly dumped by his girlfriend and also from his job as a TV interior designer, Carey needs somewhere to lick his wounds. And Mossby would be perfect for a renovation show.

Story
Tina Devino makes more money teaching people to write than writing herself. A middling romance novelist who dreams of penning a best seller, she’s increasingly forced to compete with younger, blonder debut authors for her publisher and agent’s attention. Feeling forgotten, Tina realises the only way up is to take her career and destiny in hand and build her own happy ending - which is perfect because, for a romance writer, Tina isn’t the most traditional of women....

Story
All Marnie wants is somewhere to call home. Mourning lost years spent in a marriage that has finally come to an end, she needs a fresh start and time to heal. Things she hopes to find in the rural west Lancashire village her mother always told her about. With nothing but her two green thumbs, Marnie takes a job as a gardener, which comes with a little cottage to make her own. The garden is beautiful - filled with roses, lavender and honeysuckle - and only a little rough around the edges. Which is more than can be said for her next-door neighbour, Ned Mars.

Story
For Sam Lovell, organising the summer festival in her hometown is one of the highlights of her year. It’s not always smooth sailing, but she loves to see Porthmellow’s harbour packed with happy visitors and being on the committee has provided a much-needed distraction from the drama in her family life (and the distinct lack of it in her love life). When their star guest pulls out with only a few weeks to go, everyone’s delighted when a London chef who grew up locally steps in at the last minute.

Story
Alice Rose is a foundling, discovered on the Yorkshire moors above Haworth as a baby. Adopted but then later rejected again by a horrid stepmother, Alice struggles to find a place where she belongs. Only baking - the scent of cinnamon and citrus and the feel of butter and flour between her fingers - brings a comforting sense of home. So it seems natural that when she finally decides to return to Haworth, Alice turns to baking again, taking over a run-down little teashop and working to set up an afternoon tea emporium.

Publisher's Summary
Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of A Leap of Faith by Trisha Ashley, read by Julia Franklin.
Sappho Jones stopped counting birthdays when she reached 30, but even with her hazy grip on mathematics she realises that she's on the slippery slope to the big four-oh! With the thought suddenly lodged in her mind that she's a mere cat's whisker away from becoming a single eccentric female living in a country cottage in Wales, she has the urge to do something dramatic before it's too late.
The trouble is, as an adventurous woman of a certain age, Sappho's pretty much been there, done that, got the T-shirt. In fact the only thing she hasn't tried is motherhood. And with sexy potter Nye on hand as a potential daddy - or at least a donor - is it time for her to consider the biggest leap of all? It's either that or buy a cat....
Wonderfully wry, heartwarming and life-affirming, Trisha Ashley's hilarious novel is perfect for fans of romantic comedies by Milly Johnson and Jill Mansell. And it contains recipes!
This novel was originally published in 2001 as The Urge to Jump.

Sharp, witty and loads of fun
One of my favourite Trisha Ashleys, and Julia Franklin's narration is more than just the icing on the cake - she absolutely brings the characters to life with with her matching wit and boldness. She showcases Trisha's ascerbic edge and is spot-on for wonderful Sappho the fiesty heroine, and also voices the other characters perfectly. A pleasure to hear a voice that isn't run of the mill reading a story that isn't run of the mill either. I've listened to this several times since I bought it, and know I'll listen many times more. Thank you, Trisha AND Julia!
