Story
Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early 20th century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. "A place," he said, "where learning is a game." Shortly after the school opened, his wife and daughter were kidnapped. The only real clue was a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious".

Great story, hated the narration
From the other reviews I thought I’d love the narration but it was like nails on a chalkboard, particularly when voicing Cara and her dad. Good story, got through it quickly!

Such a good story! Kept me guessing until the end. The characters are all believable and the narrator is very good. I’ve listened to lots of audiobooks and this narrator is one of the best.

Give it a go !
I usually get scared that I’ll cringe the whole time when I listen to a YA. But this was highly entertaining and kept me on my toes with realistic characters. Give it a go.
Narrator is a bit slow so I listened on 1.25 and it seemed better paced then.

This Book Was Killer ;)
If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would!! Absolutely loved the narration, characters, and the twists. It was an amazing story that kept my attention throughout. Usually I’m disappointed with book endings, however this one did not disappoint. If you’re on the fence about getting this book, this is your sign to GET IT.
