Publisher's Summary
A sexy stand-alone novel from New York Times and international best-selling author Elle Kennedy.
Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right - I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team.
And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel - I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.
I need Connelly to be my fake boyfriend.
For every fake date…he wants a real one.
Which means this bad girl is in big trouble. Nothing good can come from sneaking around with Jake Connelly. My father would kill me, my friends will revolt, and my post-college career is on the line. But while it’s getting harder and harder to resist Jake’s oozing sex appeal and cocky grin, I refuse to fall for him.
That’s the one risk I’m not willing to take.

❤️
I loved this book in the series. So much angst but Jake & Brenna were 🔥 when they finally get together.
I really loved that Brenna & her Dad finally worked everything out. I literally had tears in my eyes when they had the heart to heart. She was so damaged from the past situation and really felt like she had no one on her side which absolutely broke my heart.
Holy hilarious was the side relationship of Hollis & the stalker girlfriend 😂 It had me in stitches laughing!
Highly recommend this series!

Loved it
It started off a bit confusing for me, I had to work out who she was in connection to the other characters in the book, it ended up making sense. I ending up loving this story so much I hated the fact it ended, I could have easily kept enjoying the strong and wished it had ended with another page or so

Breath of fresh air
Tedd and Virginia were amazing at reading this, this the best book i've ever read/listened. The voices enveloped me into the story and the comedy in this book was so great, i loved trying to conceal a laugh in public while I listened to the book.

A laugh out loud & emotional ride.
I have never laughed out loud at a book before this one. The through line of Hollis' relationship was equally as good as the main characters. The voice actors did a great job bringing a great story to life. I appreciate the vulnerability shown in the sub-story with Brenna and her dad/ex issues, with great comic relief.

loved this one just as much as the first book but it makes Summer out as an airhead.
this is a great story and I loved the build in relationship for Brenna. I lobed her as a career in the first book and it was great to get her backstory. however It really irked me how they made out Summer (the best friend and main character from first book) as a airhead blond. The one thing that caused conflict and was a personal issue for her in the first book, the one thing she spends most of the first book trying to prove she wasn't.
