Hugh Fraser is a man of many talents. He will probably be best known to you as an actor; he played Captin Hastings to David Suchet’s Poirot on over forty occasions. But he’s also been a musician and a composer and now, having narrated over 90 Agatha Christie audiobooks, he’s writing his own crime fiction. Hugh visits the Audible Studios to discuss his crime series, his pedigree as an audiobook narrator, and his time starring in the Inspector Maigret TV adaptations.

Award-winning journalist and science writer Helen Thomson joins us to discuss the release of her debut audiobook, Unthinkable: a fascinating exploration into the inner workings of human behaviour. Helen talks to us about some of the strangest brains she’s ever come across and the baffling symptoms they’ve exhibited. Hurwitz has written screenplays for major studios, including The Book of Henry, and written and produced television for various networks. Hurwitz's talents don't end there: he is also a New York Times best-selling comic book writer, having written the likes of Wolverine for Marvel, and Batman and Penguin for DC.

After studying English at university, O'Leary had a successful career as a children's editor at the Penguin Random House publisher. Not enjoying living in London, O'Leary moved to the countryside and spent her daily commute working on her novel, The Flatshare. After its astounding success, O'Leary was able to achieve her dream of being a full time writer and released her second novel The Switch.

Joining us at Audible Studios is the actor of one of the most familiar droids known to man and aliens alike: Anthony Daniels, best known for his role as C-3PO in Star Wars. Daniels dropped out of law school to pursue amateur dramatics and spent time working at BBC Radio and the National Theatre. His agent recommended he go visit George Lucas, who was casting for Star Wars. Daniels wasn't interested in the role but was persuaded to go along. It was a meeting that changed the course of his life.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Esme Young, English fashion designer and judge on the BBC's The Great British Sewing Bee. Beginning her career in the 1970s, Young established her brand 'Swanky Modes', opening a shop in Camden Town. Her designs were sought after, and appeared in ID and Nova. She has also designed costumes for films such as Bridget Jones's Diary and Trainspotting, including the iconic bunny outfit for Renée Zellweger. Esme Young has now written Behind the Seams, her memoir looking back over her life and time in fashion.

Rinder was called to the Bar in 2001, beginning a pupillage at 2 Paper Buildings before moving to 2 Hare Court as a criminal barrister. Rinder has worked on cases from fraud to murder, and money laundering to political corruption. Having approached ITV with a television script, written in his spare time, he was asked instead to be the face of a British Judge Judy-esque show, thus Judge Rinder was born.
