Es schneit und Isidor und seine Frau Isidora Igel halten Winterschlaf. Doch andere Tierchen müssen in Eis und Schnee nach Futter suchen. Auf dem Wiesengrund geht das Gerücht um, dass an den Weihnachtsbäumen der Menschen Futter zu finden ist und eine hungrige Expedition macht sich bei Mondschein auf den Weg.

Im grünen Wiesengrund wohnen viele kleine Tiere, die sich alle gut kennen. Igel Isidor & seine Frau Isidora, der Maulwurf, Frosch Franz und die Spitzmaus - alle begrüßen den Frühling und viele freuen sich schon auf Nachwuchs. Nur die Spitzmaus ist sooo schlecht gelaunt. Doch große Gefahr droht dem Wiesengrund, ein gefährlicher Jäger - eine Eule baut sich ein Nest. Gemeinsam schmieden die kleinen Freunde einen Plan, wie sie die Eule vertreiben können.

Die kleinen Tiere genießen den Sommer und dann kommt auch noch eine Stadtmaus zu Besuch - Flips Vetter Klecks möchte einmal das Landleben kennenlernen, doch Klecks hat leider ganz schlechte Manieren und alle Tiere auf dem Wiesengrund sind verärgert.

Bei Willi ist das Dach undicht und es regnet in sein Schlafzimmer. Plötzlich wird Willi von einem heftigen Windstoß erfasst und landet ausgerechnet im Nest von Freddi Piepmatz und das ist für einen Regenwurm ganz schön gefährlich. Da fallen beide aus dem Nest und Freddi hat sich dabei am Flügel verletzt.

Die Tage werden kürzer und das Laub wird bunt. Viel ist nun zu tun, um sich auf den Winter vorzubereiten. Die Igel sammeln eifrig Äpfel, Eichhörnchen Trixi vergräbt viele Nüsse und die Mäuse essen sich tüchtig satt. Doch statt Mittagsschlaf müssen alle an den Teich, um Frosch Franz zu helfen.

Das Sandmännchen kommt - Gute Nacht Geschichten für die ganze Woche. Niemand weiß soooo viele Geschichten wie ich, denn ich bin das Sandmännchen. Immer wenn Friedrich schon schläft, wartet er sehnsüchtig auf seine Geschichte. Montag: Der Buchstabe S ist ganz zitterig und unzufrieden, weil Friedrich ihn so schlampig in sein Heft geschrieben hat. Und dann kommt auch noch das dicke O und fängt einen Streit an.

Die Indianer galten zur damaligen Zeit als gefährliche Wilde. Doch John Smith lernt durch Pocahontas die wahre Seele der Indianer kennen und schätzen. Pocahontas und John Smith geraten zwischen die Fronten der Indianer und der Weißen. Sie kämpfen für ihre Liebe, denn echte, wahre Liebe kennt keine Grenzen.

Yukon ist der Platz, von wo aus die Goldgräber in die Wildnis aufbrechen, auf die Suche nach Gold. Es ist Winter. Jack Convey trifft Alex Larsen, einen Bekannten seines verstorbenen Vaters, und mit ihm und Kelly macht er sich schließlich auf den Weg auf die Suche nach seines Vater Goldmine. Dieser Weg soll ein langer werden, voll Unheil und Abenteuer. So werden sie von hungrigen Wölfen verfolgt, wobei Kelly und ein Schlittenhund ums Leben kommen.
